Nat's P.O.V.
I woke up to the light. The bright, last one you see in your life. Gotcha. I didn't really. But I did wake up to bright lights. I was... on a bed. A BED?
From what I could remember, we'd been kicked out. So how'd I get on a bed?? I kept looking at my surroundings, but it grew harder to do, due to the fact the my head pounded. From what I could tell, we were in a hospital. Yes we. For I found a crying girl who just happened to be Ashlynn in a chair in my room.
I moaned at the pain in my head. I couldn't concentrate and it was hard to speak.
"Ah--"
Ashlynn, carrying tear stained cheeks and mascara rivers, looked up at me in shock and ceased her rain.
"Nat!" she exclaimed, yet somewhat gentle, and hugged me.
"Oomph." is all I could get out.
"How do you feel?" she said brushing the hair out of my eyes. Holding back my tears from the pain, I tried my best and said, "My, m-my, head."
"What about it?"
"Pain."
"Not a big surprise, the doctor said you hit it pretty hard. You have a HUGE gash. But it's nothing serious. Not a concussion or anything like that."
I let out a smile, and then a frown. How did Ashlynn think we were gonna pay for a hospital visit? WAS SHE INSANE? We had no money, no food, or contacts. Of course they'd be all up in our business, wondering where they can contact family, and we'd have to make a co-payment! Not like we have insurance anymore. But since I couldn't speak, I'd let it slip, FOR NOW. I'd scold her later.
Ashlynn sat on my bed, rambling on at me about what happened. I tried my best to look like I was the greatest listener in the world, but it didn't work. Especially when I looked out the doorway. 3 tall, handsome guys, with a middle-aged woman and middle-aged man, and a little boy, walked down the hospital hallway. The second youngest boy had curls, but so did another one, who seemed to be the oldest. The younger curly one looked weak. They didn't take the time to look through windows, but they definitely caught my eye.
"Ah-Ashh-"
Ashlynn ignored me and continued to ramble.
"Ash-Ashli-Ashlynn!"
"What? What is it?"
"Boys."
"Where would we meet boys? After--"
"Here. Boys. Here."
"Oohh... kay. You do realize one or all of em may be patients?"
I just sighed and layed there. Ashlynn didn't see the point. The boys were handsome. They looked nice. I guess we never were gonna meet them. Oh well.
