Porcelain Heart
Ashlynn here you are this took a while to get the whole thing out cause i was clueless as to how to end it but it came to me this morning so for you<3
She was heartbroken, he was her everything and she was his same supposedly. But apparently that wasn’t the case. She remembered how cold he had been as he said it was over and then went and wrapped his arm around that other girl. Her sliver blue eyes were cold, no longer happy and full of life like they used to be. The lyrics of one of her favorite songs come to mind over her breakup.
Someone said ‘A broken heart would sting at first then make you stronger.’ I wonder why this pain remains, were hearts made whole just to break?
Yes she still felt that pain in her heart and that break up was months ago. She would never get over this heartache would she? She really wanted too but she doubted she ever would. Right now though she suppose she would have to keep on working. Sighing she walked over to the table she was suppose to be waiting on and smiled a fake smile.
“Hi I’m Ashlynn and I’ll be taking your order today,” she muttered to them.
She probably would have been better, bubblier, more excited sounding but she was distracted by one of the boys at the table. He had curly brown hair, a lot like a younger boy who was seated with him, and the most amazing hazel eyes she had ever seen. She was sure she was staring but she couldn’t help it. She is pretty sure he just mended her heart without saying a single word.
“Ashlynn,” the straight haired boy sitting at the table said snapping his fingers together.
“Sorry… what can I get for you,” she asked blushing?
“I’ll take your number,” the straight haired boy replied grinning widely at her.
“I’ll get you a new waitress instead,” she told him.
“Ignore my little brother. He forgets that other people don’t have his humor and that no one finds him funny,” the one she was staring at said.
“It’s fine. I’m used to boys hitting on me. Though usually they tell me that I look like Lauren Barlow,” she said with a grin.
“Lauren Barlow,” the youngest asked?
“Have you never heard of Barlowgirl? Oh you are sheltered. I don’t think I can be your friend let alone your waitress,” she teased smiling.
“Don’t go,” the one she was staring at said his eyes wide.
“I was kidding. But have you really never heard of them? Cause they pretty much rock,” Ashlynn laughed softly.
“What about us,” the middle one asked her?
“What about you,” she had asked not knowing who he was?
“Have you really never heard of us? Cause we pretty much rock,” he answered causing her to roll her eyes.
“So who are you if you pretty much rock,” she asked as her boss walked over?
“I am paying you to work not flirt with some boys,” he snapped causing her to blush.
“Sorry sir. So what can I get you guys to drink,” she had asked as her boss walked away?
The three boys all ordered drinks and as she started to walk away the one she was staring at spoke again.
“We’re the Jonas Brothers,” he said loudly.

She chuckles remembering that it wasn’t that long ago that she didn’t know who her best friends were. Joseph, Nicholas and Paul Kevin Jonas, also known as the Jonas Brothers, also known as some of the most sought after boys in the world. After Paul Kevin screamed out who they were in the restaurant they got crowded with girls right away. And she of course had to protect them from the fans, it was her job after all.
“Why are you laughing giggle pot,” Paul Kevin asks from next to her?
“I was just remembering when I met you guys,” she answers her eyes crinkling as she smiles.
“That was pretty comical thanks to someone shouting who we were,” Joseph says giving Paul Kevin a look.
“He has a point if you didn’t scream it Paul Kevin you would have been better off,” she tells him.
“Yea but…” Paul Kevin starts.
“But she is hott and you wanted to hang out with her we know,” Nicholas says causing her to laugh again.
“Shut up,” Paul Kevin frowns.
“Babe we all know it’s true,” she says resting her hand on his thigh.
He gives her a look and she removes her hand from his thigh and walks over to Nicholas.
“Care to teach me how to play,” she asks him?
“You would be better off getting Kevin to teach you he is the guitar hero god,” Nicholas tells her.
“Nicholas please,” she says her eyes showing her excitement at the sound of his brothers name.
“Alright I’ll try,” Nicholas answers.
He starts to teach her the game but after twenty minutes both are frustrated with it and one another. Nicholas leaves the room, after Joseph who claimed ‘there was too much drama’ leaving her alone with Paul Kevin. She sighs looking at the plastic guitar in her hands and then Paul Kevin starts to talk.
“What did I do Ashlynn,” he asks her?
“Nothing why,” she frowns still looking at the guitar.
“You won’t look at me, you won’t let me teach you, I’m starting to think you hate me,” Paul Kevin replies.
Ashlynn looks at Paul Kevin and spots the frustration on his face, along with the love in his eyes, and the confusion in his smile. She chuckles at that and shakes her head in silent happiness. The lyrics she first heard before she waited on them play over in her head.
Someone said ‘A broken heart would sting at first then make you stronger.’ I wonder why this pain remains, were hearts made whole just to break?
She walks over to him, pulls him off the couch, surprising him, and hugs him tightly trying to work up enough courage to tell him. She feels his arms wraps around in his little way of protecting her and showing her how much he cared. That’s when she knew it was the right time the time to tell him.
“Kevin I don’t hate you I love you,” she smiles before leaning up to kiss him.
He kisses her back and in the background there is a small sigh and a mutter of finally but they don’t hear it too caught up with one another. The kiss ends leaving the pair panting and wanting more but there is something he had to get out first.
“I love you too Ashlynn,” Kevin says holding her tight.
“You healed my porcelain heart,” Ashlynn says softly into his chest.
