I am sorry for this chapter, it just basically goes over the Brothers' point of view. It starts a little before the end of the last chapter and ends at the same time.
Chapter 4 :: ReRun
A Little While Before… JoBro’s POV
Joe looked out the window of their limo as they drove away from the airport. He turned his gaze to his brothers. Nick was in a world of his own, headphones in ears, glassy eyes. Poor kid had it so rough, and it showed. Nick had light bags under his eyes and was looking very sleepy. Kevin was listening to the fan phone message base on his cell and every now and again he’d smile or start laughing. Fans did make life easier, Joe thought. But then again, they also complicated it a heck of a lot. It was difficult to stay humble when you had thousands of girls screaming your name every night. Screaming, ugh. Joe involuntarily rubbed his neck, thinking of his sore throat. It was hard, partying with a new crowd every night. Joe’s voice had started to crack more often, Nick would often skip his words to try and save his vocal cords, and Kevin’s fingers would constantly be sore. It was a rough life, but seeing those fans… Their faces never seemed to stop shining. They didn’t have celebrity good looks, but they were interesting. Joe secretly loved meeting the fans. They always had something to say, and opinions. Hey, if he ever needed a hug, Joe knew where to go.
“We’re here, boys.” He heard his mother say.
Kevin was rather excited about meeting these four girls. Their entries had a sort of… Difference about them. He didn’t know whether it was the fact that the envelopes had been covered in glitter and cut out magazine pages or the little notes they wrote in the margins of the entries, just little things like ‘You guys are 2 cool’, ‘Er-Dawg Loves YA’, and ‘Your real dream girl lives in Oradel.’ He remembered the names of the four girls, Heather, Alison, Iris, and Erin. He hoped he could put names to faces.
He followed his brothers out of the car, and they checked themselves over once more. Kevin saw Nick take off his white sunglasses and put them in the back pocket of his jeans before reaching up and ringing the doorbell.
Here we go.
Nick had felt tired all day, but now he was wide awake. He was excited, he’d admit. It was going to be pretty cool to go to a real prom for a girl that’s not some friend of a fellow celebrity or something like that. These girls were just going to be normal fans, and that comforted him slightly.
“Oh! Hello! Come on in!” A slightly surprised woman opened the door and herded the boys into the house, Mrs. Jonas had decided to stay in the car. Nick looked around, somehow he doubted that this middle-aged woman was going to be their prom date, and sure enough..
“Girls! Get on down here!” She shouted upstairs.
Nick, Kevin, and Joe stood around for a short while until a girl came stumbling down the steps.
The girl was obviously about to say something to the woman until her forest green eyes flicked slightly and rested on us. She did a double take and Nick could see Joe smile at the expression on her face. She covered her mouth for several seconds before she smiled shyly at us and finished walking down the steps.
“Hey, I’m Nick. And this is Kevin, and Joe.”
“This is gonna sound a little weird, but; I know.” She answered quietly.
“Oh. Yeah, cool..”
“Um… Guys?” The girl called and Nick noticed that she seemed to be about his age, give or take a little bit. She was wearing a simple black top and leggings with an iridescent green disco skirt.
“What is it Erin?” The brothers heard another girl call down. Apparently the disco-skirt-girl was Erin. Now all they had to do were figure out the other three.
“Just come down here.” Erin answered seriously.
Moments later, two more girls came down the steps, with yet another behind them. The front two stopped sharply when they saw the Jonas Brothers, just like Erin, and the last girl ran into them.
"Oof!" She looked like she was about to say something more until she glanced up.
“O…M…J…”
