Chapter Two

I sang along to my ipod has my best friend Sammy drug me through the mall. "Let's go to Abercrombie!!" she insisted, pulling me in. The store had wooden floors and pale yellow walls. There were a couple mannequin's in the corner and most of the store was crowded with the latest fashions and colors. I wasen't into fashion all that much... I follow my own trend on what to wear and what not to wear. Sammy was the one that looked in all the latest magazines and pointed out fascinating articles in Seventeen out to me. I politely pretended to be excited but honestly, I wasen't really interested in things like that. I picked up a lacy blue tank-top, with three singles button down the front. "Cute.. "I thought. "That's adorable... you should get it!!" Sam gushed, excitdely. "Yeah... I like it" I replied, bringing it up to the counter. Although, I didn't like it as much once I found out how much it cost. $50 for a tank-top was just ridiculous.... But, I always feel bad leaving empty handed from a store so I bought it. I hope it looks good on me... I looked over at Sammy, busy browsing through the extensive selection. I took out my old and chipped purple razor. I'll be outside if you need me. I texted her. Gotcha she texted back. I made my way outside and found myself in a c.d. ctore. I love music... one of my many passions. Besides song-writing I also sing them. Though, I admit I have awful stage fright. Just thinking about it makes my knees go weak. So I shook the thoughts away and searched through c.d's. Yes, I know their retro but so what? "OOOOO!!! the new Coldplay c.d.!!" screaming, not realizing that it was out loud. I giggled nervously and hurridly made my way up to buy my c.d. I bumped into someone and my purse fell to the ground, all of the contents spilling out. Including, my c.d. which fell and cracked open. "Oh no..." I said, staring at the huge crack in the side. "I am so sorry.." a deep, velvet voice apologized. I looked up into familiar beautiful brown eyes. My breath caught in my throat and I swallowed.

"Uh... it's okay" I assured, picking up the items that fell out of my purse. He helped me collect them, while eyeing me suspiciously. "I really am sorry..." he said, once again. I laughed. "Really... it's okay" I responded. We stood up and looked each other up and down. His familarness was eerie... His hair was long and curly stuck to the edges of his neck, he had a long neck and broad shoulders, he had the most captivating brown eyes and his lips were curled into a smile. "I'll pay for it..." he offered. "No that's okay, it's not your fault. I'm just a klutz" I insisted, giggling. "Have we met before?" he asked, stroking his chin. I thought... "I don't think so... maybe in a past life" I replied. I looked around nervously and paid for the c.d. apologizing for dropping it. They charged me extra... bastards. The guy was still standing there, staring at me like he's seen a ghost. I turned to leave until he said something suprising. "Boo?" he muttered. I stopped in my tracks and twisted around. "Nobodies called me that since I was 5... who are you?" I asked, curiously. He laughed and came closer. "It's me... Nick, you're best friend" he said, a bit teasingly. I held my breath, in complete shock. He reached into his pocket and took out a packet. "Candy?" he offered.
