Plot/Introduction
Kerstyn grew up living on a ranch in South Carolina. She loves horses, goats, dogs, and even her pet pigs. They were some of her closest friends, and she didn’t care what people thought.
She loved life on the ranch, but everything changed when her mother died from breast cancer.
Her dad became distant from her, and since she didn’t have many friends at school, she only had her animal friends to turn to, and she refused to let anybody help her with anything around the ranch.
Without the extra help around the farm, Kerstyn’s father had to hire a boy to help with all the work.
Cue Kevin Jonas.
He was a boy that just moved from the city, but had always loved the country; he found it as a sort of escape for him.
He couldn’t wait to meet the daughter Mr. Kelso told him about, but his hope of a great friendship dropped the second he met Kerstyn. She wouldn’t let him help her with anything, she was determined to do things herself, and herself only.
But when Kerstyn catches a wild mustang that she falls in love with, and wants to ride in the upcoming state rodeo, who is she going to turn to for help?
