I looped a small silver hoop through my ear. I looked into the mirror, and nodded in approval. I took a seat on the corner of my bed. I should be getting ready to  leave to Cecilio's, but something was holding me back. I felt like I was forgetting something. I flipped my sidekick open, and closed it again. Should I call Nick? It's not like he had anything to do. He was new. He should get out and hang with the soccer kids. I mean, that was the first step to being one, right? I scrolled through my numbers, selecting his, and hesitating a bit before pressing call.
"Hello?"
"Hey. It's Dana."
"Oh hey."
"Listen, what are you doing right now?"
"Uhh, nothing. Just hanging out with my brother. What are you doing?"
"I'm going out to get pizza with some people. You should go. Your brother can come too. It'll be fun." I persuaded.
"Umm, ok. Yeah! When are you leaving?"
"Now. I'll come get you guys."
"Alright."
"Alright. See you soon."
"Ok. Bye."

WIth that I flung my LeSportSac bag over my shoulder, and snatched my keys off the hook, hustling down stairs and out the door.  I pulled back up to the house I'd dropped Nick off at earlier, and honked my horn. He, and an equally cute brother marched out of the house, talking to one another.

"Nice car." Nick's brother complimented, and he ducked into the back seat.
"Thanks." I grinned widely. It was a nice car. I begged my dad for it since day one.
"Uhh, Dana, this is Joe."
"Nice to meet you." I greeted, peering at him from my rear view mirror.

The ride was quiet. I'd just met these kids, and as unecessary as it was for me to take Nick under my wing, I wanted to. We pulled into the parking lot and I waved down my best friend. Ashleigh waved me over, widening her eyes.

"Hey whats--" I started, but was abruptly intterupted.
"Joe! Hey." She greeted. They'd met before?
"Ash, this is Nick. He's trying out for the soccer team."

Ashleigh nodded in approval. either because he was cute, or because hanging out with anyone outside of soccer players was simply out of the question.

We walked into the small crowded resturaunt. Everyone seemed to be there. We took our usual seat next to the front window. It was a seat that everyone knew to be off limits. Varsity soccer ran our school, and we were the last people you wanted to mess with. I settled into the booth, and patted the seat, signifying that Nick could sit down there. He did. We'd all began talking and having a great time, until something caught my eye at the other side of the pizzeria. My boyfriend Jay staring me down. I looked at him and smiled trying to lighten the mood, but eh seemed unphased.

"Excuse me for a second." I pardoned, as I got up to talk to him.
Nick gave me a questioning look, but I'm sure Ashleigh would cover for me.

I made my way over to the large group of boys, and wrapped my arms around Jay's neck.
"Whatsa matter?" I said, sounding almost too Italian.
"You're friends with the new kid?"
"Yeah. That a problem?"
"No. No. You usually aren't so welcoming. It seems a little more friendly for my liking."

Jay had the cutest Asutralian accent. He transferred just a couple years ago and look where he was now.
"Nick's a nice guy." I started, "I like him."

I regretted saying that. Of course I meant that I liked his personality. Not, you know, like that.
"Oh?"
"You know I didn't mean it like that." I defended.
"Well thats how it sounded."
"Look, Nick's nice. And I'm gonna have guys friends. You're my boyfriend. Trust me, ok?"
He nodded and planted a small peck on my cheek.
"Call me later or something, k?" I suggested, begining to walk back to the table.

"Trouble in paradise?" Ashleigh joked, as I sat down.
"Same old Jay." I muttered.
"You guys fight often?" Nick asked.
"You kidding? They fight ridiculously." Ashleigh giggled.

It was true. Jay was amazing, but we fought way too much,. And sometimes it made me question how long this fighting would last before we finally had enough.

"But they make a cute couple, eh?" She added.
The brothers hesistated to answer. Joe widened his eyes at Nick, and grinned a little.
"Adorable." Nick sighed, probably from exhaustion.

"Well maybe I should get you guys home. It's kinda late."
They stood up, and hugged Ashleigh.
"I'll see you in the morning Ash."

After a battle over the front seat, that Joe had won, we were able to leave. I felt so distracted. Maybe me and Jay were over. But in the same aspect. I didn't want it to be over. Not yet at least.

We pulled into the Jonas driveway, and all got out. Joe gave me a bone-crushing hug, and I squealed when he spun me. Nick looked timid, and for a moment, I was afraid that if I hugged him, Jay would pop out of a bush and break up with me right then and there. But i neverminded it. Nick was my friend and that was it.

I found a strange comfort in Nick's hug. Like I'd known him longer than just today. Maybe he had that effect on people.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow. At school. I hope everything works out with Jay."
"Thanks. And don't let Jay scare you. You and I are friends. He'll get over it." I assured.
He gave me one last, long hug, and continued into his house.

Life was ridiculous.

Ok im back from soccer finally and i must say that ur FF is AWESOME SO FAR!!!

ugh i wish i had pizza after soccer all i had was a Big MAc Fries and a Shake and im still starving!! <<< food has no effect on me after soccer, but i guess i never ever get full..  haha im a fatie i eat everything in sight!! ..haha Jk im like freakishly skinny for eating so much!! TOOBAD

ooh guess wut i scored too...which i was soo thankful for because ive been sucking lately, and needed something to redem myself!!!

alright guys, i just caught word that Ashleigh is typing the chapter up.
she's been really busy with school and stuff. can't blame the girl. :]

but hold tight. its coming.
