Well first I want to make sure I am changing the name of the thread right. You just edit the first post and then change it dont you? Im not very good at this kind of stuff. lol.
Chapter 10
My first kiss was an experience I’ll never forget. It felt so incredible, his soft, warm, lips touching mine. I must admit I had absolutely no idea what I was doing but Nick didn’t seem to mind. We must have sat there kissing for a long time, because soon enough Courtney’s father could be heard opening the garage door from his car. “Oh crap.” I pulled my lips away from his and took a breath. “You have to leave, now.” I grabbed his and ran to the side door. “You have to go now!” I opened up the door and pushed him out. He looked puzzled. “I’m sorry, it’s my uncle, and if he sees me alone in the house kissing a boy….”
“Yeah I get it.” Nick kissed my check and then disappeared. I stood stunned for a minutes thinking about what had just happened when I heard my uncle calling my name “Bailey….Bailey!” I ran into the kitchen.
“Hey kiddo.” He said. I hated being called kiddo. “How was your day?”
“Fine” I replied. “Nothing exciting” Yeah right. More like the most exciting day of my life!
I tried hard to conceal my excitement. Through dinner I picked at my food and didn’t talk at all. My cousins sensed that something was different, but they seemed forget after I assured them everything was the same.
Now that Courtney was all in “dance mode” She and Brittney went downstairs to the ballet room to practice. I brought my laptop and went down too. The ballet room was a new addition to my cousin’s home; it was in the basement and was a large room. The walls were covered completely in mirrors, except for one, which was painted light pink and had framed vintage artwork of ballerina’s on it. Attached to the mirror walls was one of those bar thingys that dancers…well did dance related stuff on. To tell you the truth I don’t really know what it’s used for. The floors were made of some expensive foreign material that was supposed to be good for your feet or something. I didn’t really get the point of that…
When we got downstairs, Courtney put a CD in the huge stereo and they started dancing. Well, maybe they were just warming up or something. I couldn’t tell. Honestly neither of them were very good dancers. It was actually very amusing to watch them. “Bailey, why don’t you come join us!” Said Brittney. “PEOPLE CHANGE AND PROMISES ARE BROKEN” Thank God. I love you dear cell phone. Not giving the “golden girls” an answer I ran to pick up my ice blue chocolate. The number was unknown. I figured it was just Vince *67ing me again, pretending to be a pizza guy named Pablo so I answered “Shut up I don’t care! Go away!”
“Well…ok I’m sorry then I didn’t mean to bother you”
“NICK! Omigod I’m so sorry I thought you were someone else. Crap I feel all bad now.” I was kinda shocked that he called. How did he even get my number? He laughed at my response. “It’s ok.”
“So uh…how did you get my number again?”
“Oh, it was written on a piece of paper sitting on the table by the back door. So…I was wondering...do you want to come over tomorrow?” I smiled. “Yeah I would like that”
“So around 1?”
“Um...yeah.” Courtney had more dance then. Woo! “That would be great.”
“Ok so see you then.” I hung up. I felt like dancing now! I walked to the middle of the room to Courtney and Brittney that I wasn’t a hopeless case. I did the one thing I knew Courtney and Britney couldn’t. I ran across the room then did a no hands front flip. “Try that” I smirked. They gave me a stunned stare. Then Courtney started complaining about her foot. What a lame excuse! We turned out the lights and went up stairs to bed. I curled up in the mass of comfy blankets and pillows and started dreaming of 1 o’clock….
