Chapter One
Danielle couldn’t believe her luck as she hung up the phone. As a joke, she tried dialing in to be the seventh caller to win tickets to the sold out Jonas Brothers concert in her hometown. Though she was a dedicated fan, she wasn’t able to buy tickets to the concert before it sold out. Her mom wouldn’t let her stay home to get the tickets, and she didn’t have the money to pay the scalpers who were trying to make the prices unreasonably high.
Her luck seemed to have made a turn for the better though, as she WAS the seventh caller and did win the tickets. What surprised her the most was that they were first row, center! Screaming with excitement, she quickly called her best friend to let her know the good news. She would be given another ticket, and she knew her best friend Ashley would kill her if she wasn’t invited.
“I WON!” She screamed into the phone when Ashley answered.
“Won what?” Ashley said happily. Though she had no idea what Danielle won, the fact that her eardrum was screaming in pain was enough to make her believe whatever it was she won would be worth it.
“The radio contest!” Danielle said, and at Ashley’s hyper scream she knew she didn’t have to elaborate to tell her which contest it was.
“OH MY JONAS!” Ashley screamed into the phone, and the two girls spent the next fifteen minutes squealing and trying to figure out what to wear for the concert that would be in a week.
“And Nick is gonna say, ‘I don’t care you’re nineteen and I’m only fifteen, Ash we’re meant to be!’ and Joe will be all like, ‘psh, whatever bro, Ash is mine.’ And Kevin won’t care because he’ll be over talking to you and realizing how amazing you are. And then Frankie will come in and—“
“Ashley?” Danielle interrupted.
“Yeah?”
“That’s ridiculous. We don’t even have meet and greet passes, and I think it’s highly unlikely that both Joe and Nick would fall for you, and Kevin would be madly in love with me.”
“Way to spoil a good fantasy Dani,” Ashley pouted over the phone.
“Sorry,” Danielle said, brushing her blonde hair over her shoulder. “I’m just being logical here. We’re amazingly lucky to even go, don’t let yourself believe you’re going to meet them when it’s probably not going to happen.”
“Party pooper.” Ashley said, but she was joking and Danielle laughed, grateful to have such a hyper friend. It definitely made life more interesting.
