FIVEThe girls packed their bags full of clothes, makeup, hair things, girl things, and of course, Meg packed her guitar. As soon as they finished, they headed to bed. Meghan woke up the next morning to her alarm buzzing in her ear at 6 a.m. She was about to hit the snooze button when she realized what today was. At that thought, she popped out of bed like a poptart and rushed down the hall to Katie’s room. “Katie,” she shouted, “Wake up!”
“No! Stupid monkeys! Don’t take the bananas!”
“Fine. I guess me, Marisa, and the JONAS BROTHERS will leave without you! Considering Marisa and I are leaving in ½ an hour!”
Katie’s eyes opened surprisingly fast. “Well, Let’s go!”
Then they ran across the hall to wake Marisa, but she wasn’t there. They then went to check downstairs and found Marisa in the kitchen with their mom, making coffee. “Hey guys!” Marisa said cheerily, “Meg, you want some coffee before you drive us the whole way on practically no sleep?”
“YES!” Meg sighed, grabbing the cup, “You have NO IDEA how much I need this.”
They all sat and chatted with their mom about some things before having to go upstairs and brush their hair and teeth. They all decided to just go in their pajamas. After they finished, they grabbed their bags and gave their mom hugs goodbye. “You girls be good, ok? And Katie, I know you’re probably worried, but your mom would approve.” She winked and waved as the girls headed out the door.
Meg stuffed all the girls’ bags into the trunk and backseat of her car. Then they all piled in to her Lime green Volkswagon Bug. An hour and a half later, they arrived at the venue to three excited boys. Joe was literally bouncing on his toes. As soon as the girls stepped out of the car all the boys rushed over to give them hugs, Katie leaped into Joe’s arms, Nick gave Marisa a quick kiss on the cheek, and Kevin gave Meg a soft kiss. She smiled and looked up at him as her heart rate increased and her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. Just then, a little figure came darting out of the bus, his hair wet and tousled. “Frankie!” they heard someone call from inside the bus, “Come back and fix your hair!”
Frankie stopped when he saw the girls, “Hey! You must be the girls my brothers can’t stop talking about!”
“FRANKIE!” all the boys shouted.
“Hey Frankie!” Katie said, bending down so she was at his eye level, “I’m Katie and these are my sisters Marisa and Meghan.”
“Hey! You’re prettier than Joe said!” Katie blushed as Frankie said that, “Do you wanna be my new girlfriend? I already have one back home, but she won’t mind!”
Katie giggled as Joe stepped in, “Sorry Frank, I saw her first. Finders Keepers!”
Frankie pouted and turned to Meghan, “I would ask you, but Kevin wouldn’t stop going on and on about you, so I guess I can let him have you.” Then he turned to Marisa, “And what about you? I know Nick likes you, but I’m so much cooler!”
Marisa laughed, “Sorry Frankie, I think you’re a little young for me.”
Frankie just shrugged and headed back towards the bus. The boys then grabbed the girls bags, but Meg refused to let them carry her guitar, “Sorry. I’m very particular about Vixen. She’s very special to me.”
After all the bags were emptied, they loaded them onto the bus. The girls were introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Jonas before the bus driver came back and told them they would be heading out. “You ready girls,” Joe asked pumping his fist into the air, “For the best summer of your life?!”
“Yes!” they all shouted.
And with that, they were off.
