[[CHAPTER TWO: It's About Time]] [[NICK'S POV]]

The next day I was in the tourbus on the way to Jade's house. "Did it look like I've grown?" I asked Joe. He shrugged. "Yeah, whatever" he said. I rolled my eyes. "I can't wait to see Jade again!" I said. Kevin nodded. "I'm still worried about Sarah though" he said. "She hasn't called me once to see how I was doing". Our mom looked at him. "It's alright Kevin. She's probably busy. Today's her birthday" she replied. We all looked at her. "Really!?" we all asked. She nodded. We arrived at her house and rounded in the driveway. We all got out. "I'll go hide the bus" Mr. Jonas said as he drove off. I ran up to the door and knocked. "Jade!" I exclaimed as I gave her a bear hug. We all went in. "Where's Sare?" Kevin asked. Jade and Stella were quiet. "Jade?" I asked softly. "Is there something we should know?"

She bit her bottom lip and looked at Stella. She got up, walked over to Kevin and handed him a DVD and an envelope. He was confused as he looked at her. "What's this for?" he asked. Stella had tears in her eyes. "Kevin, Sarah died a year ago" she whispered.

[[KEVIN'S POV]]

My eyes widened. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked. I wasn't angry, just disappointed. Stella was quiet. "We didn't want to tell you because we knew if we did, you would cancel your tour dates to come back and be at her funeral" Jade said quietly. I looked at the envelope then the DVD. :I need to watch this.. alone" I said. Stella nodded as she led me downstairs to a room. I walked in, stuck the CD in and watched. "Kevin.. by the time you get this, I'll probably be dead" she said. "Please don't angry at me or my sisters". I could see tears in her eyes. "It's not good bye, cause I will remember you, and I will see you again.. when I rise, cause I know and I believe.." she sang. "I will see you in eternity". I felt tears in my eyes as I wiped them away.

"Kevin, please don't cry. I love you so much and I hate to see you cry" she went on. "I know that for a fact, that you'll always be in my heart no matter what" she said. "Don't let my passing stop you from doing what you love. You have three younger brothers who look up to you". I bit my bottom lip and had more tears fill my eyes. "Kevin, looks like I won't be to any more of your birthdays bud" she said laughing a bit. I laughed a bit too. "Promise me that you'll keep on going. Promise that you won't stop doing what you love to do". I nidded. "I promise" I said quietly. She smiled. "I have to make this quick. I can feel my body getting weaker and weaker" she said clearing her throat.

She wiped tears away from her eyes. "In that envelope, are pictures from the Christmas renunions. Pictures when me and you first met, our first date, everything. There's also a letter in there. So yeah.. bye" she said. "I love you.." and then the tape ended. I stuck the CD back in it's case and looked at the cover. It was Sarah's work alright. The picture had her and me making funny faces with "Kevin and Sarah" in fancy writing. I walked upstairs and all eyes were on me. "Kevin.."Mrs. Jonas said walking up to me. I shook my head. "It's.. alright" I said. I turned and looked at Stella. She was in Joe's arms for the first time since they're break-up. "I need to borrow Sarah's car" I said. She nodded and got up. She walked upstairs and came back downstairs.

She walked up to me and handed me the keys. "We buried her grave on the hill where you and her had your first kiss" she replied as I walked out.

[[JOE'S POV]]

"Stella.." I began. "Do you want to take a walk?". She looked at me and nodded as I took her hand. We walked outside. She walked close by me holding onto my hand her head leaning on my shoulder. "Stell, breaking up was a mistake" I began. "I never meant to..". I could tell she was listening. It felt good to have these walks again like we used to. It felt good. "I love you Joe" she said. I blinked. She never said that since we broke up. We basically never talked to eachother again until this day. "Joe.." she began. "The day before died.. she told me to hang on to you" she began. "I wasn't sure what it meant, but now I understand. She was telling me to keep loving you no matter what and she was telling me to be an older sister to Jade"

I nodded and bit my bottom lip. "Sarah was like a second mother to me" I confessed. "She helped me through our break-up and kept me going" I said. Stella nodded and looked at me. "Joe, is Kevin going to be alright?" she asked. I shrugged. "I don't know Stell.. I don't know". We walked to the park and sat down under a tree and she began to cry softly. I held her in my arms. "It's alright" I said. "As long as we're together, Sarah will live on in our hearts forever" I said. Stella nodded. "Knowing that she won't be at any of my birthdays anymore kills me, but I have to face it". I noded. Rest In Peace Sarah Marshall. You were a mother to all of us
