~Chapter Five: Pride And Predjiduce~
Joe paced around the hotel room in Houston. He threw his cellphone onto the floor.
"Urgh!" He shouted.
"So much for the 'no anger issues' concept." Kevin laughed.
"What's wrong?" Crystal asked.
"My stupid phone is dead!" Joe replied.
"Wow. You have a huge problem." Nick said sarcastically.
"Oh, yeah?" Joe said to him "Let me borrow yours!"
"Umm, I can't let you do that!"
"Why not?"
"Because I, I --"
"I what?"
"I don't have it, okay?!"
"What? Do you know what could happen if that phone falls into the wrong hands?"
"Nick didn't lose the phone." Crystal said "I did. So don't blame him, blame me."
"What? How?" Joe replied.
"I bumped into one of your fans at the videoshoot yesterday, and I must have dropped it."
"That phone cost, like, $500!" Kevin interrupted.
"Way to focus on the real problem." Nick said.
"That fan has the power to control our lives!" Joe replied.
"What are we going to do?"
"I'll think of something."
"Think fast!"
Rebekah, Victoria, and Megan walked around Rebekah's room, thinking.
"There's definetly something about that Maddie girl that I don't like." Rebekah said, stopping to sit down.
"Yeah." Megan replied.
"She's trying to steal Kati from us. That's what it is."
"You're right." Tory said.
"We have to get her out of here." Rebekah replied.
"I don't know about that, but I have a plan!"
"What?" Megan and Rebekah said.
"Well, I've done some research and, according to my cauculations, 92% of girls hate it when people lie to them."
"So all we have to do is tell Maddie Kati's been lying to her." Rebekah said "It's genious!"
"Yeah! Kati told me that she's been keeping her Jonas obsession secret from Maddie." Megan replied.
"This is perfect!" Rebekah said deviously.
" Ok, now that was creepy."
Kati picked up Nick Jonas' cellphone.
"I can't believe we have this!" She said.
"Me niether!" Maddie replied.
"Wait here." Kati said, walking over to her dirty clothes hamper. She opened it and found Jason.
"Okay, whose phone is it and what happened to your phone?!" The boy said.
"I'm not telling you!" Kati said to him "Now get out!"
"Fine, but I'm telling mom!"
"I thought you might say that." Kati walked over to her piggybank and pulled out a five-dollar bill. She handed it to Jason.
"Promise not to tell?" She said.
"Yeah!" Jason grabbed the money and ran out. Kati locked the door.
"I can't belive you--" Maddie began.
"Fake money." Kati interrupted "It comes in handy." Maddie picked up Nick's cellphone.
"Why don't we have a little fun with this thing?" She said.
"Huh?"
"Yeah, let's prank-call a celeb!"
"Just as long as it's not mean."
"Okay." Maddie picked up the phone and scrolled through the address book. She stopped when she saw the name "Miley Cyrus". Maddie dialed her phone number.
"Hello?" Miley answered.
"Miley!" Maddie said.
"Who is this?"
"Oh, this is Nick's personal assistant."
"Okay?"
"Anyways, Nick told me to call you and tell you that he wanted to break up with you. Don't ask."
"Oh. Okay." Miley hung up the phone.
"No, no,no! We cannot break Miley and Nick up!" Kati said.
"You said you wanted to date him." Maddie replied.
"Not if it means breaking him and his girlfriend up!"
"Relax, she's not going to break up with him."
"Whatever."
