Ugh bumping.. again!

Well since no one wanted to comment on my horrible writing... heres the next chapter....

Chapter Two

Work the Next Day

Everyone was bustling around the pool, making sweat form on the edges of Remedy’s face.  Little kids were running around on the deck, even though there were clearly may signs that said to Do Not Run On Deck.  Remedy got up from her position on the lifeguard chair, and blew her whistle.

“Kids, don’t run on the deck,” she yelled.  Her voice was diminishing, a side effect of all of the yelling she had to do, just not to get fired.  She sat back down on the hard, plastic chair that was set just right on the side of the pool that she could jump in at a moment’s notice. 

There were old grandparents swimming in the shallow end of the pool, trying not to get ran over by the toddlers who were aimlessly floating around on their blow up floaties.  Teenagers were doing fancy flip- turns, and watched the opposite gender swim.  The girls sat at one edge of the pool just dipping their feet into the water and smiled shyly at the boys sitting on the opposite side. 

Remedy dug into her small bag that sat on the floor, and got out her cell phone.  She’d better call her parents and tell them that she was going to be late, seeming that the place was emptying out, and afterwards she could take a nice long swim.  She felt a spot in her chest nag, and then she felt like crying.  She finally felt like crying after holding off for the five days after her parent’s death.  The realization that her parents were dead swept through her like a hurricane.  And then the tears started to roll like fat logs down her cheeks.  She gripped her stomach and rolled off to the side, the pain was setting in and nothing could make this better.  She quickly looked up and saw that the crowds had gone away, and it was just herself and the pool. 

Remedy took off her jacket and pulled off her sweats, and set them to the side of the pool.  The only thing there was her red lifeguard swimsuit, herself, and the pool.  She gracefully dived off the edge of the pool, and then swam towards the center.  She ripped out the elastic that was holding her hair, and let it float up around her face.  The cool, chlorine filled water felt good around her hot body.  And the way she could hear the humming of the generator next door made her feel peaceful.  She turned around from her floating position, and stood up.  After doing breaststroke all the way to the other side, she turned around, and found Kevin Jonas.

How did I not know you posted not one, but TWO chapters?!?!!?!?! Oh my goodness. I've been such a horrible reader and commenter lately. I'm sorry!!!

But seriously, if I would've commented before, I would have DEFINITELY told you to post more soon. This really is fantastic. I love it and the idea.

Chapter Three

“What are you doing here?” Remedy asked, quickly whipping the tears that were around her face, hoping to hide the evidence. 

“Just coming to the swimming pool like I always do,” Kevin replied with a soft smile, he took off his shirt, and jumped into the pool.  After swimming over to Remedy, he looked over her swimsuit choice.  “So, are you the lifeguard here?”

“I think it would be apparent by my swim suit,” Remedy said with a laugh, one that sounded different than the other day.  Kevin must of realized it, because he looked at her in a strange way. 

“You sound kind of off today, and you look like you just cried,” Kevin said, taking a concerned look at her, and then brushed a stray tear off her cheek.

“Oh, it’s nothing really,” Remedy said, her voice wobbled a little bit.

“I can tell it’s something, tell me please,” Kevin said, his eyes pleading with her.  He was starting to sink in the water a little bit, so he kicked his legs a little bit so he could get lifted up more.

“Well, my parents were going to a wedding,  my cousins wedding, they were on the way there, and then a drunk driver was on the road.  He ran into my parents car, and killed them,” her voice cracked at the end of the explanation, and then she couldn’t hold it in any longer.  She bursted out with the tears, they fell down swiftly, more than before.

“Remedy, they are looking down from heaven, and want you to succeed in life, they want you to be happy, and carefree,” Kevin said, and then he came closer to her making waves gently from the crevices of his arms. 

“They are dead Kevin, I have to live by myself in that little apartment,” Remedy was breaking down little by little in front of the gorgeous boy who wanted to help. 

“You can’t feel bad for their death,” Kevin said, and finally closed the distance between their bodies, and held her in his strong arms.  He wrapped his arms around her body, and held her close, trying to close the wide gap that was in her chest.  The gap that was tearing her apart every second. 

Okkkay, I will post the next chapter after I can get onto the other computer.
