Chapter Four

The Morning

Remedy woke up in confusion, how did she get to this strange place, the room smelt like cologne, socks, and just a manly fume.  She looked at her surroundings, and saw that she was wrapped in a dark black comforter, and had a fluffy pillow under her head.  Looking around the room, she saw posters of every type of band imaginable line the walls.  Knick knacks of different kinds lie everywhere.  She slowly pulled the comforter that was wrapped around her off, and looked down at her clothes, swimsuit, her lifeguard one to be exact. 

“Oh crap,” Remedy muttered under her breath, she looked over the side of the mysterious bed she was sitting in, there was Kevin laying on the floor, his curly head of hair was a messy mob, his mouth of open, letting a little drool come out.

“Come on man a little more sleep would be great,” Kevin mumbled clearly still sleeping.

“Kevin, Kevin, wake up now, its me Remedy,” Remedy said, as she whipped her flip flop at his butt.

“Wwwwhhhatt,” Kevin said, he sat up a little, and stared at Remedy, sleep was written all over his face. “Remedy, what are you doing here? Oh shoot.”

“Yea, you brought me here when we were at the pool, I’m really sorry about that, you know the falling asleep in your arms thing,” Remedy said, her small feet shuffling on the carpeted floor. 

“So do you want me to walk you to your apartment?” Kevin said, he got up out of his make shift bed that was on the floor, and stretched out.

“Sure,” Remedy said, she grabbed her towel, and waited for Kevin to throw on a shirt, and they were out the door. 

“So I will see you around?” Kevin stood outside Remedy’s door to her apartment, his eyes twinkling with happiness.

“Of course, I mean we both live in the same building practically, so its bound to happen,” Remedy got out her keys and shoved the creaky door open.

Nickolle {Music is Everywhere, All You Have To Do Is Listen} wrote “Sure,” Remedy said, she grabbed her towel, and waited for Kevin to throw on a shirt, and they were out the door.

Chapter Five

Work and college were the two fixations in Remedy’s life that were always there.  It was either one or the other, sometimes both combined.  School was tedious and long, and working two jobs was no walk in the park either. 

She would see Kevin and a few of his brothers around so often, but not enough to get to know all of them in the friendship status.  Once in a while, Remedy would see Kevin at one of her mysterious jobs, yet all they exchanged was a small wave or two.

“Would you like whipped cream on that?” Remedy asked through the headset strapped on her head.

“No, I told you it was supposed to be sugar free, and with your fattening whipped cream its not FAT FREE,” Some old lady bellowed through the microphone.

“Yes, of course, seven sixty-five at the window,” The next customer pulled up in a blue convertible, blaring some song that didn’t matter at the moment.

“How may I help you?” Remedy asked for the millionth time since she got the job at Starbucks.

“Just a black coffee please, trying to keep it simple,” Said a husky voice that sounded very familiar.

“Will that be all?” Remedy questioned.

“Yes ma’am.” The voice was so recognizable, and recent, that she had to look up at the customer.  Kevin Jonas sat before her, sungl*CENSORED* propped on his perfectly slanted nose.

“Kevin?” Remedy queried through the speaker, making the boy look up at her curiously.

“Wow Remedy, I didn’t know you worked everywhere,” Kevin uttered a diminutive laugh, and looked up at her.
