Chapter 1
~Jenna's POV~
That was how we got here standing outside of the church with his brother Joseph waiting on his older brother Kevin to get there,as soon as he had fallen asleep that night I found the first flight out for the next morning and packed his clothes for him.
He kept his arm around my waist as they watched out for his brother from what I had heard from their coversation earlier that day Lizz might not make it to the funeral.
I looked around watching as a guy a little bit taller than Nick came walking up to us,he had curly dark brown hair just like Nick and I figured that he must be Kevin.I knew I was right when Nick slowly let go of me and walked up to him with Joe right behind him.
"It's good to see you guys."Kevin said as he hugged them both and then looked at me"And who is this pretty girl Nick?"
Nick smiled as he put his arm around me and pulled me closer to him.
"This is my girlfriend Jenna."He said.
"It's nice to meet you."Kevin said with a little nod of his head"I'm just sorry it had to be under this circumstances."
"It's nice to meet you too."I said softly as I leaned my head against Nick"I'm sorry about your mom."
He nodded before we all headed inside of the church for the service.
After the service we went to the cemetary,I sat there holding Nick's hand as he cried softly to himself he was never the one to show his emotions ever,I would squeeze his hand every now and then just to let him know that I was there and that I wasn't going anywhere.
As soon as we got done there we headed to Joes's house,we stood outside the house as we waited for everyone to get there.Nick held my hand as he started to get a little antsy.
"If you need to smoke go ahead."I said softly letting go of his hand,he smiled as he looked down at me and then walked to the middle of the street as he lit a cigarrete.I glanced around for a few minutes noticing two guys sitting in their car as they watched him talking.I wondered who they were but the thought quickly left my mind when I saw Kevin come walking up as he patted Nick on the back and said something to him before they both came walking back.Nick put his arm around my waist one again before we turned and headed towards the house where Joe was talking to some of the ladies who were friends with his mom.
When he got done he smiled at us as he slowly turned and headed up the stairs of his porch.
"Do you remember when l built that tree house?"Joe asked"And you burned it to the ground."
"Come on, man.
"Kevin said laughing a little as he shook his head.
"Boy, l wanted to kick your but, man"Joe said laughing.
"Don't worry, your house is brick."Kevin said as he shook his head"l ain't gonna burn it down."
I laughed a little as Nick took my hand as he started to walk into the house ciggarette still in his other hand.
"Now I'm sorry but your going to have to put that out."Joe said as he smacked it from Nick's hand"There's no smoking in my house."
Nick rolled his eyes as he walked into the house pulling me with him.I smiled a little at Joe before I turned and looked in front of me as we walked through the house passing Joe's wife Niki as we did.I had met her at the funeral and we instatntly clicked because she knew what I was going through with my pregnancy and how it felt being pregnant with your boyfriends baby.Her and Joe weren't married when she had her little girl either.I hadn't gotten to see her yet because they didn't bring her to the funeral.I slowly followed Nick and Kevin out to the backyard where they walked up to a little girl who was standing there with a little dog.
"Well hey there you must be Amelia."Kevin said as he kneeled down and patted the dog.
The little girl giggled as she watched him.
"That's not Amelia I'm Amelia."She said as she smiled looking at them.
"Your Amelia I know that."Kevin said with a little smile"You may not remember us but I'm your uncle Kevin and this here is Nicky poo."
I covered my mouth as I tried hard not to laugh because of the look on Nick's face.
"Come on Kev don't teach her that."He said shaking his head.
I watched as they talked with her some more before she quickly looked towards the side of the house where two guys were walking up.
"It's cop."She said to Kevin and Nick before she took off.
I watched as two guys came walking up.
"Well if it isn't the Jonas boys."One of them said with a little smile"Never thought I'd see you guys back here hopefully you won't cause too much trouble while your here."
"Haha bobby you know good and well you were as bad as us when you were younger."Kevin said shaking his head.
"True."He said with a nod of his head"Come on give me a hug."
Kevin gave him a hug but he wasn't smiling as the guy let go of him and quickly hugged Nick as he looked at me.
"Thanks for coming, Bobby. Mom would've been happy you made it."Kevin said with a little nod of his head.
"Your mom would've been happy you made it back for her funeral."Bobby said.
"l didn't come back for no funeral."Kevin said as he shook his head.
"Thanks for the offer, but we got it under control."Bobby said shaking his head as he glanced at his partner.
"Yeah. You know, l could tell by the looks of things when l drove in."Kevin said with a small smile The place looks completely different. New Jersey's finest cleaned it up, huh?"Kevin said.
I stopped listening after they started to say something about gang bangers running into the store to rob it.I slowly made my way back into the house where Joe and Niki were standing and talking with each other.
"I thought you said he wasn't coming."She said softly.
"No I said I didn't know if he was coming or not."He said with a little shrug"Don't give me that look Niki,you know I'm way through with that life."
I raised my eyebrow wondering what was going on and Niki looked at me giving me a small smile before she turned back towards the food that she was preparing.
