OK, Chapter 1. Hope You guys like it!
Chapter 1:
The last day of school is supposed to be a day when you party and take pleasure in life. The end of the last day of school is just the beginning of your first few hours of summer. You are supposed to spend your first night of summer enjoying not having to do work for a good 3 months. Well, that’s not exactly how I was spending this wonderful moment. I was stuck waiting for my brother, Daniel, to pick me up. He was late….again. It was already 5:30 and he was still nowhere in sight. As I sat face in my hands sighing with every car that drove by that wasn’t Daniel, I wondered what this summer had in store for me. I had nothing planned whatsoever except hanging with friends and partying, just like every other teenager. As I sat their, longer and longer, I became so frustrated that I threw my backpack on the floor silently cursing at it. Then I realized…what did that poor backpack ever do to me? Yes these are the thoughts going through my head at the moment. Lame, huh?
“Finally” I thought as I saw my brother’s car pull up into the school parking lot. My smile slowly turned into an extreme look of confusion. It was definitely my brother’s car, I was sure of it. But, it definitely was not my brother in the front seat honking that horn that I despised so much. As I slowly walked closer and closer, still confused as to who was sitting in my brother’s car, I finally got a glance of my worst nightmare.
“Joe! What are you doing here?” There was no happiness in my voice. For one, I was upset that he was almost two hours late from picking me up. I was also upset that it wasn’t my brother who was their to greet me. It was Joe. Joe, the kid who I detested so freaking much, it’s unbelievable.
“Daniel is busy, he told me to come pick you up. Come on Demi, get in, I don’t have all day.” Obviously, the hate that I had for him was mutual. I slowly stepped into the car and sat my bag in the backseat, not saying a word. “No hello or I missed you?”
I sat silently, trying to ignore his presence. “You are two hours late.” I said under my breath.
“Sorry, Sorry! I had some things to do. You are not the most important thing in my life.”
“Oh…Yes I am.” I said sarcastically. “Why are you here anyway? Shouldn’t you be in Hollywood with all the big shots filming a movie or something?”
“Hahaha, NO! I am here because I am on break. You know if I am not with my family, I am over at your house jamming.”
“I know” I said disgustedly.
“What was that?” I stayed silent. “You’re a Bitc- Butt hole…you know that right?”
We slowly pulled up into my driveway and I grabbed my things from the backseat. Joe sat there waiting for my rude remark so he could lash back at me. I was finally out of the car and on my way up to the house still not saying a word, when I turned around. “I Know.” I yelled back.
I heard I light chuckle and a low ‘see you later’ come from the car as he drove away.
Wow, how I hated him. Ever since I was two, I hated that boy. He always treated me horrifically. Once, when we were swimming in the back yard, Daniel, me, and Joe, a golf ball hit me straight in the head, while everyone else cared for me and tried to help me, stupid Joe laughed hysterically. I didn’t think it was very funny. He always treated me really disrespectfully, and after many attempts to make peace with him, I finally decided that it was time to just do the same to him. So, now we are enemies.
As I slowly walked into my bedroom, ignoring the small cries from my mothers room asking me if I was home, I sat my backpack on my bed. I walked over to my computer and turned it on. I sat their contemplating how horrible it was that I wasted my first official night of summer waiting for Joe to pick me up. He didn’t care about anyone but himself.
That’s when it hit me, if Joe is going to be here all summer, and so am I……..OH GOD! This is going to be an extremely long summer.
As soon As I get a few comments. at least 2 I will post chapter 2.
THANKS!
