So this is my first one-shot. Sorry if it sucks.
With one hand on the small of her back and the other in her hair, he planted a soft kiss on her cheek. He stared into her beautiful green eyes. Demora smiled. He always loved it when she did. It felt like her smile could light the world. Their relationship was so typical, even though it felt as if no one in the world had ever felt this way.

Demora was working the two o’clock rock wall shift at her local recreation center. Since there was nobody climbing she pulled on a harness and hooked herself to the hardest wall. She had been trying to get up that wall for a week. She glanced up at the wall and started to climb. She had to jump from hold to hold and was almost to the top when she noticed that someone was watching her. She reached for the last hold and finally rung the bell at the top of the wall.
“Yes!” She whispered as she came down.
Then she saw who had been watching her climb.
“You know, you’re pretty good.” He said.
“Thanks,” she replied, “I’ve been at that wall for at least a week.”
She took off the harness. Then she took a second look at the guy who she was speaking to.
“Hey, you’re Kevin Jonas!”
“Yup.”
“I’m going to your guys’ concert tonight!”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah,” she said, “My sister was a fan first a long time ago then a little bit after that, she got me hooked.”
Kevin laughed.
“Here,” he said, pulling something out of his pocket, “It’s a private meet and greet pass. For tonight.”
“Thanks!” Demora replied, putting the pass in her bag.
“Hey! What’s your name?” Kevin asked.
“I’m Demora.”
“Cool name.”
Demora smiled.
“Well I’ve gotta go, I have to do sound check.”
“See ya!”

This was just the start, because it didn’t end at the meet and greet. Kevin and Demora had become the best of friends over the next year. She had even come on a tour with them. Joe and Nick were always running around with their girlfriends and Kevin often felt like a fifth wheel because he didn’t have a girlfriend. Kevin and Demora became only closer when her parents got divorced. He had been their for her through all the pain. Kevin wasn’t sure if his feelings for Demora had grown past just friends. He often lay awake in bed pondering on the idea of him and Demora dating. He doubted it would ever happen and scared that if he did ever work up the courage to ask her out, and she rejected him, that it would ruin their friendship that he had worked so hard to keep.

Kevin’s true feelings were revealed in the next month during an intense game of Truth or Dare.
“Kevin! Truth or dare?” Joe asked him.
“Uh…truth.”
“Tell us who you are crushing on!”
Kevin knew he couldn’t lie because he had sadly told his brothers that he had been crushing on Demora. He knew Joe had asked him to reveal it because Demora was playing with them too, and that meant he would be telling her that he liked her. Kevin took a deep breath.
“I am crushing on…” he braced himself, “Demora.”
Demora’s eyes got very big. Finally she said,
“Well…um…I better get going. Bye.”
She hurriedly grabbed her bag and ran out the door.
“Thanks a lot Joe.” Kevin said glaring at his brother, “You might have just ruined the greatest friendship of my life.”
Kevin stormed up to his room. He layed on his bed and turned on the TV. In the middle of an exciting game of Cash Cab, Kevin’s phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Hey. It’s Demora.”
Kevin sighed.
“I’m really sorry I left like that. It’s just…a bit overwhelming that a famous rockstar has a crush on me, the girl who works part-time at a recreation center.”
There was an awkward silence.
“I was just wondering if you could meet me at Starbucks in a couple minutes. I need to talk to you.”
