chapter three;;
"You seriously did not just eat that!!" Brandi screeched at Joe. I made a face, at Brandi then turned back to my book. Kevin made a bet with Joe that he wouldn't eat a blended up happy meal, but he did, oh did he. Chicken nuggets, french fries, and a soda. All mixed together. It was the most disgusting thing I have seen in my entire life. We had been on the boat for about two hours and I was already tired of it, not really. Just tired, my mom's flight got canceled so she came back home and made a point of screaming at every single person she could get a hold of, for the past two days until friday when she finally left...and I was leaving too.
"You okay?" Nick asked, looking down at me. Water driplets were coming down from his curls, because Joe kind of poured the remander of the happy meal on Nick's hair. Which caused Nick to jump into the water to wash it out. Being with these guys (mostly joe) was like baby sitting hyper five year olds. Well, sometimes. Now pretty much everyone was laying in the sun.
"Yeah..just tired." He smiled, almost glowing.
"You can take a nap if you want, I will show you where your sleeping." I nodded, closing my book and following him down the stairs. I walked slowly down the stairs, but I missed a step tripping down all the remaining stairs landing on Nick, with a 'ohfff'. He looked at me.
"You must be, really tired." I nodded, trying to get up. Then just flopped myself back on him, and rolled over. curling up in a ball. I heard him getting up, then I felt his warm strong arms pick me up and carry me over to a door, he pushed it open. The room was a pretty blue, like the sea. It was practically empty though. He layed me down pulling the blankets over me until I was nice and comfy. His curls were drying, they looked so soft. I wanted to run my fingers through them. He smiled, probabley noticing my staring.
"You don't talk that much do you?" I shook my head, no. I didn't talk that much, I was the quietest one in our little group. They didn't mind though, I was more of a listener.
"I'll see you when you wake up." he said shutting the door behind him. I smiled falling into a deep, restful sleep.
When I woke up a few hours later it was dark, then again I was halfway underwater, I looked out the window, have way water and half was well over water. I looked around the room trying to find a switch. I found it and clicked it on. I saw my bags laying on the side of the room in a pile. I grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie putting them on and walking up the stairs.
When I walked out on deck there was a fire in a wood burner thing, it occured to me that this might be the smartest thing conserding we are on a boat. I shook it off though, Nick was the first one to notice me his chocletey brown eyes reflecting off the fire.
"Nice to see you sleepy head." He spoke I smiled, everyone turned.
"It's good to see you in the land of the living." Sammy said. I smiled again taking a seat in between Brandi and Nick.
"Sleep well?" Nick asked me quietly. God I loved that, the fire was reflecting off his eyes. This scene was so romantic, pitch black besides the fire. Stars up on the sky, It was beautiful. It's been a while sense I've felt so good.
"Yeah, I slept great. Thank you." Sammy and Crystal both smiled at me, I knew they thought I liked him. I didn't though, not yet atleast. Okay maybe a little.
"I hope you know Nick is scared now, you bruised his stomach with your arm!" Joe yelled, pulling up Nick's shirt.
"There isn't anything there - " Nick said pulling down his shirt, and turning to me. "He's just giving you crap." Kevin looked at me.
"Malou you can go over to the other side of the boat, there is some steaks left over that Nick cooked." I nodded getting up.
"I'll help." Nick said, there was various 'oh's coming from everyone as Nick walked to the other side with me. It was almost pitch black on the otherside without the fire, I could barley see Nick's face. I looked towards Los Angelos and if you looked close enough you could still see the lights.
"Pretty huh?" Nick said. I nodded then realising he probabley couldn't see I spoke.
"Yeah, really pretty." Nick walked towards the doot flipping on a lamp, it was just enough light to see there was a grill and a table with a blue flowered table cloth on it.
"Very manly." I said putting my hand on the table.
"We Jonas men try." He said taking a steak from the grill and puting it on a plate.
"So you cook?" He nodded and sat down putting the plate in front of me.
"Some, my dad taught me how to cook steaks though, it's kind of a tradition in our family. My mom taught me how to cook a few other things, but I'm not that good." I smiled taking a bit, feeling a little weird eating in front of someone, espicially someone who was just watching me eat. He got up and handed me a soda.
"I wish I could learn how to cook, Remma taught me a few things. But not that much." He nodded.
"Is Remma your mom?" I was shocked, didn't he know who my mom was? Wow. This was so weird.
"No, Remma's my cook. My mom dosen't know a thing about anything about cooking. Just how to order." I said taking another bite. Wow this was really good.
"I take it your not very close with your mom." I shook my head.
"I'm not close with my dad either." I said handing him the plate. He put it in the sink downstairs and we joined the rest of the group.
