it was great that you shared that story. I have scoliosis and I've been wearing a brace for almost 2 years and I still have to wear it for at least one more and i'm a sophmore in high school. So I completely understand how you feel. i've never ditched my brace, I wear it when i'm supposed to but i absolutely hate it and i wish I could just be normal. thank you for sharing your story!!

not that we have/had to wear back braces. but. i never met anyone else who actually wore the brace. like i know people who have scoliosis, but theyre always like oh no its not that bad, and im just like LUCKY. lol
but kudos for you for being able to deal with it through highschool.
im not gonna say i regret my decision for not wearing it after 8th grade, buti just wanna know if it wouldve done me any better? you know? but then again there is no cure, so i accepted the fact that i'll never have a straight spine

haha, yeah me too. I've never really met anyone who had to wear a back brace either. but i always make a joke out of it by saying i'm "bullet proof" and telling people to punch me in the stomach. Its really funny to see people's reactions because they think i had something under my shirt. and how its hurts them more than is hurts me :) <3

and uh. well i went to the doctor last month, hoping for it to be my last visit cause thats what he said last time.
but since i stopped wearing the brace, like i thought he told me to, it progressed a bit. but nothing serious.
i gotta go back next year. =]
