Chapter Two
Nick’s POV
My brothers, Kimberly and I walked into Kati’s house and into the living room. A small crowd was starting to form already and I could see many people I went to school with. “Nicholas!” I turned around and found Nicole, my very close friend.
“Nicole, how are you? You look great!” I said, shocked. She was wearing a powder blue dress, her hair was styled and strait, and she just seemed to glow.
“Thanks, you don’t look to bad yourself.” She giggled.
Taylor’s POV
“I don’t know what to wear, Marni!” I said, looking through all the dresses in my closet. My friend Marina was helping my pick out what to wear to Kati’s party.
“Well, you should wear the black one or the red one, they both look really good one you. And you can’t wear the black one because I’m wearing black; so, red dress.” Marni told me. I laughed a little and took out my red dress. I held it up in front of me as I looked in the mirror.
“Yeah, you’re right. Red it is, and what should I do with my hair?” I asked her as I went to get changed in my bathroom.
“Well, I think it would look just fine loose.” Marni told me.
“Ok, if you say so.” I said, opening the bathroom door in my red dress. Marni smiled and got off my bed as we left my room.
Later…
We got to the party and I felt a little out of place. I didn’t know anyone from Kati’s school, I went to a private girls’ school and I met Kati at a summer job we had. “Come on, Tay. It’s going to be great.” Marina assured me as she knocked on the door.
“Taylor! Marina! I’m happy that you two could make it!” Kati greeted us, hugging us.
“Wouldn’t miss it!” Marina said happily as she pulled me through the door.
