Hey sorry it took so long, but here it is!
Chapter Nine
Taylor’s POV
“So? How did it go?” Marni kept pressuring me with questions about what happened between me and Joe.
“Well… I found him at the Starbucks… we talked for a while…” I said.
“Who cares! Just get to the part you know I want to hear!” She pleaded, grabbing onto my wrists.
“Ouch,” I cried, pulling my wrists away. “Ok, fine. So, after we talked… he…” I looked at Marni, her eyes were strait at me, sparkling, and wide. The suspense I was creating was obviously killing her. “He asked me out, so we could work things.” Right after I said those words, Marni yelled. I covered my ears, my eyes squinting. Finally, after what seemed to be a good 5 minutes, she stopped yelling and actually started to breath again. “Ok, you have to stop that.” I sighed, happily.
“Sorry, I’m just so happy! Well, excited! And worried. And …” She kept on going for a while.
“Marni, you have to calm down! Take a chill pill, why don’t you.” I laughed.
“Ok, I’m sorry.” She clamed down. “Well, now you just have to make sure you stay together until you’re married.” She said, smiling, slightly as a joke, but I could sense that she was a little serious. “Do you seriously still don’t remember, either of you?” She asked after a moment of silence. I shook my head.
“Not really. We’ve both been having flashbacks in the middle of the night, which keep us up and then we’re too afraid to go back to sleep because of the horrifying things we see…” I explained to her. She looked at me and gave me a comforting hug. I could feel tears filling my eyes and slowly start to run down my face. I was really too afraid to sleep at night. I let my tears run down as she hugged me tightly, and then something else happened. My stomach turned inside of me and I immediately escaped Marni’s grasp and ran to the bathroom.
