Hey again! Thank you so much for visiting my story. the first chappy starts a little slow, but i think once you read it you will know where this whole thing is going. thats pretty much all i have to say about that. OH! and remember, comments = happy Sammy!
Chapter 1 8th Grade 2004 I moaned as the alarm clock pierced its way through my dreams. I slammed the snooze button as hard as I could, sending a burning sensation through my fingertips. I slowly unwound myself from the knotted blankets around me. My feet hit the plush carpet I knew so well. I searched the pink walls for the light switch that would change my world from its dark domain, to a bright clear vision. I found the switch within the next two minutes. I could hear the light bulb click as it went on for a second and then blew out, sending my world back to its shadowy appearance. I meandered through the numerous piles of clothes around my room. Still half asleep, I gathered some random items and made my way down the hall to the bathroom. I flicked on the light and turned the knobs on the shower to extra hot. I stepped inside allowing the hot steamy droplets of water ease my tension that had only begun to build. As always, the water quickly turned ice cold. I sighed and took the rest of my shower in the water, whose temperature began to plummet rapidly. Now, I know what you’re thinking….what is a girl doing living in a house like this? Well let me tell you, plane and simple. I have REALLY bad luck. This happens to me on a regular basis. I threw on my clothes and hastily brushed my thick brown hair. I looked at the clock. The bus would be here at any minute. I stuffed the rest of my breakfast into my mouth and chugged the remainder of my orange juice. I threw the door open to reveal a dark cloudy morning. I rolled my eyes as the bus whizzed by with clearly, no attempt to stop. Once again, I Crystal Montgomery would be walking to school…alone…in the now pouring rain. “Not much of a first day of school” I muttered to myself, as I tried to dodge the massive puddles of water that had begun to collect on the sidewalk. Yep, today was the start of a new school year. Good bye summer, hello boring books and lectures. I could hear the bell for school ring off in the distance. I wouldn’t be there for another 3 minutes or so. I tried to make myself look presentable as I looked at my reflection in the front doors of the school. The little makeup I had on was now beginning to smear down my face. I made my way down to the bathroom and wiped off all the gunk that had begun to crust onto my naturally smooth skin. My dark hair began to frizz slightly because of the sudden downpour on the way to school or as I liked to call it….hell. I walked up the stairs and down the hall to my new homeroom. I really wish I wasn’t late because now all eyes would be on me when I entered that classroom. And that is something I REALLY don’t need right now. I slowly turned the doorknob in my hand. Luckily only a few heads turned around to see me. I found the last empty seat and quickly sat in it. “Crystal” I heard someone say from in back of me. It was my friend Katie. My only friend that is. She raised her eyebrows at me in an attempt to ask me why I looked like a drown rat. I rolled my eyes at her and turned around in my chair. Surprisingly I got the one that squeaks if you move even the slightest amount…yay….me. “We have a sub today” came Katie’s voice from behind me again. I breathed a sigh of relief. At least I wouldn’t have to be stared down by the teacher this early in the morning. Katie came over to me and we began to play one of our favorite games. Mash. (if you don’t know, it is a game to see how your life will end up in the future) playing this game always gave me hope that I would find some luck in my life. “I’ll do you first” I said to Katie. “No way! I’ll do you first” she responded. I shook my head. I looked around the room trying to find someone who wasn’t preoccupied with anything special. All I could find was the boy sitting next to me.

that was amazing. and the thing was i didn't even know that i had gotten the part of main character until i saw my name. and so i went to check out the audition thread to make sure it was me. and it is. and woohoo. thanks so much.
