Chapter Four
"Hello, and welcome to Chuck E. Cheese's!" Joe said, with an evil grin on his face. I looked at Ashley, who was just as shocked as I was. We had to come up with a plan.
We went inside and sat down, as I rolled my eyes at the fake Chuck E. I decided I play along though, so it would seem like I was having a good time.
"Hey, Joe, want to come to the tunnels with me?!"
"You mean.. you wanna be here?"
"Sure, why not?" I asked grinning a fake smile.
He shrugged and came with me. We first went through the balls, as we got the oddest looks from the kids. "HEYYY, YOU'RE IN MY WAY!" They would yell at us, but we laughed.
We went through the tunnels, but we bumped into each other. Our faces inches away, I could hear his breathing, silence surrounding us, as his face got closer to mine, I began to close my eyes, anticipating a kiss, but instead, I got a knock from behind "C'mon keep going!" A little girl yelled at me.
"Sorry!" I giggled and walked away from Joe.
Then, I decided to go find Ashley, but she was fixed into her game of whack a mole, or whatever it's called and Nick and Kevin were playing ski-ball. So what to now? As it turns out, Joe wanted to get some pizza. We went back to our table, and sat there in an awkward silence.
"so.. in the tunnels..." he began.
sorry it took me FOREVER!
I was gone all day.
