~*Dance With Me*~
The crowd she one thought scary and intimidating, was now calm and inviting.
She never thought she would be able to open herself up like this, never. She had always been the shy, quiet, insecure one. But dancing, in this huge crowd, she was in her element.
She fed off the energy, adrenaline coursing through her body.
She opened herself in the dance; she let it consume her, her body moving through the beats, coursing to the sounds of the music.
At first she danced alone, in and out. At the edges of the crowd and in the middle, there was no stopping this girl. She loved what she was doing and the way it made her feel.
He stood, off to the side watching her ever graceful movements as she made her way in and out through the web, never stopping the flow of her elegant movements.
He caught her eye, for a split second, but she cut the contact.
He decided to go for it, he saw something in her eyes when he caught her stare. It intrigued him, like a mystery waiting to be solved.
He made his way onto the dance floor, moving through the crowd with more ease than he anticipated, though it was still not as simple as she had made seem.
Finally he made his way to her. He joined in her dancing, and without a single word, synchronized their movements.
The music coursed through their two bodies, connecting them as one.
When one song ended, another began, the tempo changing ever so slightly. She hadn’t known the identity of her dance partner, and when she turned around, she was greatly surprised to find him.
She didn’t allow his fame to faze her; rather she simple let a smile play on her face as she continued her dancing with him.
He watched as she moved so fluidly, him becoming entranced in her body’s movements. She watched him entranced herself with the way his body moved so perfectly with her own, as if they were connected.
The song came to an end and she danced her way out of the crowd. He followed her, mimicking her swift movements through the other dancers. The two walked out of the dance club into the crisp night air, the sounds of the bustling city around them.
Outside he found her sipping the water bottle she had grabbed on her way out of the club, leaning against the red brick wall.
He approached her. Standing in front of her he rested his left hand on the brick beside her head.
“Hey,” he said simply.
She let out a small coy smile, “Hey yourself.”
After a moment pause, “You’re really good.” He complimented her dancing, how she was able to make such swift sweet movements and let loose.
“You’re not so bad yourself, Joe.” She flashed another coy smiled before finishing off her water and rolling under his arm beginning to walk away.
“Wait.” He cried grabbing hold of her shoulder with his right hand, turning her back to face him.
“Yes Joseph,” she said standing an arms length away from him.
“What’s your name?” he asked.
“You will find out soon enough.” With that, she slipped from his grasp and made her way back inside.
After a few moments of standing there in shock, Joe made his way back inside. He saw her, the second he walked in, right in the middle of the dance floor, dancing the night away.
She fed off the energy of the crowd. He watched her, so engulfed in the dance, she was glowing, huge mysterious smile on her face, it entranced him as he made his way to her.
She turned immediately as her joined her dance. Their hips moving in the exact same fluid motion.
She leaned in close to him, “Let someone else have a turn,” she whispered in his ear.
“Maybe I don’t want to, maybe I’m just greedy.” He whispered back to her.
She let out a small laugh, continuing the dance with him.
She danced away from him and back again.
She leaned in to whisper in his ear before she walked away, “Alison, the name’s Alison.”
He was taken aback as she smiled and danced her way through the crowd to the exit.
Her name rolled over in his head, Alison.
Quickly he followed her out of the club, his body meeting with quite a few elbows, as he was not taking care with his movements.
He caught up with her just outside, “Alison.” He called. She turned around slowing her step just barely.
He ran to catch up with her. When he caught up he took her in his arms, “Thanks” he said.
She smiled her mysterious smile, “Yeah.” She said tempting him as she licked her lips slightly.
He moved closer and slowly closed the gap between them.
At first their lips barely touched, but Joe quickly deepened the kiss. She pulled away and stared into his eyes, “See ya around.” She said before quickly turning on her heel and walking away. As she walked away Joe stood there watching. He saw a paper drop from her hand and as soon as she had completely faded into the dark, he ran to pick it up.
He opened the paper slowly, in it was written a phone number with a message. It read: Call me sometime ;)
He looked at it and looked up to see where she had disappeared to, smiling to himself.
