HERE"S MORE!!!!!!! yay for JOINT FF'S!
Becky’s POV
I ran up to my room to call Jason for my hours.
“Uhmm, you are working tomorrow. I will give you the rest of your hours then.”
Jason said happily. “Yeah, this is going to be awesome. Two best friends in the same work facility.” I said with a smile. “Yeah, it will be fun. See you tomorrow. Your shift starts at 8:30.” He said. “Alrighty then, bye!” I said and hung up the phone on the receiver.
I stared up at the ceiling. I now had two jobs. One at an ice cream place and one at Wal-Mart. It wasn’t my first choice to work at Wal-Mart, it was actually my moms, but I don’t really mind. I work in the electronics department, so I get to play with the video games and listen to the CD’s which is fun for me.
I went to bed at 10:36, snuggling deep down into my comforter as I fell asleep.
“Working girl! Time to get up!!!” my mom hollered from the hallway. I looked at my alarm clock. It hadn’t even gone off and I had set it. This always happens to me. I get so used to sleeping in that I am half awake when it goes off and turn it off, falling back to sleep two seconds later.
It was 7:30 so I got up and grabbed some clothes and headed into the shower, listening to my GOOD music while I rinsed out my hair.
“Hmmmm Hmmmm Hmm Hmmm.” I hummed to the song on the radio as I turned into my VERY OWN parking spot at Hodgies. I was so excited to work here. Everyone from school came here just to hang out and chill so I would be seeing a lot of my friends here most likely.
“Sup Jason??” I asked as I proudly walked into the ice cream place. “Hey, Becko.” Jason replied as he passed me a sheet of paper. “here are your hours. If they interfere with your other job, just tell me cuz then I will change it. No big deal.” He said. Jason was one of the most understanding people I know.
Business was hoppin’ today. There was soo many people coming to get some ice cream but I was a pro at scooping it out and stuff like that so it went pretty quickly.
At about 11:20 the crowd died down and every one was happily eating their ice cream in the back lot, where all the grass was.
“one FREE mint chocolate chip.” Someone chirped up at the counter. “I laughed as I saw Marni standing there with a big smile plastered on her face. “hey, how’d you get here?” I asked as I slapped my own money into the cash register. Someone had to pay for it and I’d rather it didn’t come out of my paycheck. “mom brought me and some of my friends over here to hang out.” She said leaning on the counter. “oh that’s cool. You wanted mint chocolate chip right?” I asked, just to make sure I didn’t screw it up and end up giving her something she absolutely hated. “yeppers!!” she exclaimed with glee as she leaned on her other foot.
“there you go ma’am.” I said with a laugh as I handed her a cup of ice cream. “it’s so cool that you are working here. I get free ice cream!” she yelled as she spooned some into her mouth. “yeah, well, it’s not free for me.” I said making a pouty face as I took off my hat that everyone there had to wear. “oh, is your shift over already?” she asked brushing her windblown bangs out of her eyes. “yep, and now I am going home to see if Meghan wants to hang out.” I said grabbing my keys out of my little cubby and walking out the door.
