I couldn't sleep, so I figured I'd write some Fury.
<3 you all!
Cast us all aside.
“Nick, where were you? I’ve been trying to call you for an hour!” Denise Jonas said as soon as Nick walked into the door of his home. Looking through his pockets, he realized he must have left his phone in his bedroom.
“Sorry mom,” he grinned, flashing a smile he knew would get him out of trouble. “I must have left it when I went walking.”
Instantly forgiven, he was told not to let it happen again. He glanced at his watch and noticed he only had thirteen minutes left before Ashley would be at the corner waiting on him.
“Mom, can I stay over at Andrew’s house tonight?” He asked quickly, coming up with a story. “He’s a friend from school and we have a huge Geography test coming up. It’s okay if you say no…” He added at the end.
But Denise was all smiles, happy her son was putting so much effort into his schooling. “Of course you can, just don’t forget your cell phone.” With a peck on the cheek she bustled off, leaving Nick to run upstairs and throw some things in a duffle bag.
He idly wondered why he was even doing this. It certainly was the most rash, unplanned thing he’d ever done, but he remembered the adrenaline rush Ashley provided him, and he knew he had to do it. Just to find out more about her.
Grabbing his phone he noticed he had a message from Melissa. Deleting it without even reading it, he put his phone in his pocket and walked downstairs, waving goodbye to his family and heading for the block Ashley would be waiting at. She wasn’t there when he arrived, so he sat on the pavement, a grin on his face as it finally hit him what he was doing; he was making an escape, seeing what life was like without rules or boundaries. And instead of filling him with terror at being alone in the world with no one he knew beside him, he was filled with anticipation.
Before his thoughts could progress, he heard a car speed down the road and the glanced up to see Ashley car pulling to a stop next to him. He didn’t have to be told to get in, throwing his duffle bag in the backseat, joining her pink suitcase and climbing into the passenger seat next to her.
“I guess I should tell you I don’t have any money,” Nick said after they took off towards the unknown. This caused her to chuckle, and Nick found himself blushing at the sound. It wasn’t the laugh itself that made him blush, but the fact that everything new he discovered about her attracted him. Her laugh was short but melodic, and he wanted to hear it again.
“Don’t worry about it,” she said, grinning. “I’ve got the money situation under control.” Nick wanted to ask how, but felt as if he shouldn’t pry. Instead he just nodded, causing her eyes to widen in surprise before she pulled her shades down over her eyes and sped in a random direction.
“Where exactly are we going?” He asked, not really caring but feeling as if he should ask anyway.
“Wherever we want.” She replied. “Let’s get rid of our old lives for a while, yeah?”
And Nick thought that was a perfect plan.

They pulled into a parking lot that led to a club Nick had never been to before. It was several miles away from his usual locations, and already Nick’s pulse throbbed with the thrill of seeing something new. Ashley, on the other hand, must have been to this club before, as she looked bored as they skipped to the front of the line amidst complaints of the other patrons.
“Listen to me,” Ashley said, her voice commanding. “We should only be here for a few minutes, but should something happen, just take my lead okay?” Nick nodded, again confused but anxious to see what lay through the club doors. “Good, now just follow me.”
Ashley opened the door smoothly, Nick trailing after her as they weaved through the crowd. She seemed intent on something, and Nick was too busy staring at the people to notice as cash went into her pocket while small packages of substance landed in the hands of those paying. The music pulsed through the speakers and reverberated through the people and Nick lost himself to the light show. It was a natural high for him; being in the club, and once Ashley was finished with her business, she turned to him and smiled at the sight of him in a trance.
“Do you dance?” she asked, surprising herself. At his nod, she took his hand and led him to a spot on the dance floor. Their bodies meshed and weaved together as they danced, and Ashley lost herself, remembering what it was like to dance with someone and it not be for business purposes. It went well until she glanced up and saw a familiar face looking at her suspiciously. She watched him approach and timed her move carefully.
“Nick,” she whispered quickly, his eyes snapping to hers as they still danced. “Remember what I said about following my lead?” He didn’t have time to respond before her lips met his in a furious kiss.
