Hey everybody!Sorry for the lack of posts...Life has been a little crazy..With school almost out and normal life things!But i found time to post FINALLY!So here it is...Chapter 4!
~Chapter 4~
~I Knew It~
After work i drove home really fast to get ready.I put on my jean skirt and a yellow tank top with some white flip flops.And i left my hair down.I finshed getting ready and hurried up to back to Starbucks.It was 5:56 when i left the house and i had about a ten minuet drive ahead of me.
I arived at Starbucks by 6:04.And amazingly enough i didn't get a speeding ticket what so ever.
"Hey doll."Kati said as i walked in
"Hey."I said as i scanned the place.
"No honey he isn't here yet so feel free to sit down and have a nice coffee."Kati said
And that didn't sound half bad.I sat down at the counter and had a nice coffee while i waited for Joe.
The concert started at 8 and Joe said he would pick me up at 6.Well it was 6:15 now.
I am not a very patient person.And Joe was really testing my patience.I finshed one coffee and another and another.And still no sign of Joe.
I looked at the third empty coffee cup then up at the clock on the wall right as i dinged 7:00.
"Still not here yet?"Kati asked from the storage room.
"No."I mumbled.
I sat there for a minuet longer.
"Kati i'm going to go."I said
"You all done waiting for prince charming?"Kati asked
"He obviously wasn't my prince charming."I said
"I'm sorry bud there are plenty more out there."Kati said
"Ya but not for me."I said
He just wasn't the guy i thought he was.
I walked out the doors and got into my car and drove away.
The ride home seemed longer than usual.Not because Joe was all i could think about or the fact that the road was a little blurry because of my tears.No it was because i let my guard down on him.And got hurt.I should have known better.Nothing ever goes good for me.My life was so perfect before he showed up.I had learned to live with my problems and make the most of my life.Then he showed up and made everything complicated.I didn't want complicated i wanted simple and easy.But i guess that is one thing i won't get.
I got home and went up to my room.I layed down on my bed and cried until i finally feel asleep.
I woke up the morning to my alarm beeping.I turned it off and went and got ready for work.
I got to work and walked back behind the counter.
"Claire Joe is on the phone."Kati said while pointing to the phone that was off the hook on the counter.
"Oh ok."I said
I walked over to the phone and hung it up.
"Your not going to talk to him?"Kati asked
"No."I said
"Well alright."Kati said
Then the phone started ringing again.
"Kati can you please answer that?"I asked
"oh ya."Kati said
Kati answered the phone and sure enough it was for me.
I grabbed the phone and put it up to my ear.
"Stop calling."I said
"Claire i'm sorry let me exsplain don't hang up."Joe said
"No to bad buddy."I said
Then i hung up the phone.
And Joe never did call back the rest of the day.
After my shift was over i walked into the back and grabbed my coat and my purse.I walked back to the front and behind the counter to clock out.
"Claire?"Someone asked
I looked up and there stood Joe.
"Claire don't walk away let me exsplain ok."Joe said
