107:Chapter 2
My heart dropped when I went on my roof.
I sat down on my roof and looked beside me. Our faces were about an inch away from each other.
“Hi” he said as he smiled.
I screamed and jumped up “Who are you?”
“I’m Joe” he said as he stood up and held out his hand. I was hesitant at first. I shook his hand “Hi” I said lowly.
“So, I finally get to meet you, what’s your name?”
“Dawn”. He stared out in the sky and looked back at me “You know I always wondered about your house. I never really knew someone lived in here” he said looking in the window.
“No one does” I said lowly.
“What did you say?” he said looking back up.
“Oh nothing”
“Where are you from? You got a little British accent there”
“Accent?” I had to think for a second. He has no clue I’m a vampire, so I just went along with the story”
“Oh yeah, that’s where my family is from. England”
It was an awkward silence; “I can tell you really don’t wanna talk, so see ya Dawn” He jumped back over to his roof and started to climb back in his window.
“Please don’t go” I said as I looked down, and looked back up “I’m just not…uh…really good with talking to new people”
“Okay” he sat on the edge of his roof, and I sat on the edge of mine.
“Tell me, how come I never see you”
“I…uh…go to a different school. It’s really far way. Very far, far, far-”
“I get it” he said as he laughed. We talked for about two hours. “Well I really should be going”
“Yeah, got school”
I started to go into my window until Joe called me “Dawn? One more question”
“Yes?”
“How old are you?”
“107” He started laughing.
“Very funny there with the sarcasm. Seriously, how old are you?”
“Uh…17?”
“Cool, goodnight”
“Goodnight”
