I like it. sounds good so far. 
i had a long comment written out, but it got deleted and i really don't feel like remembering it all. lol. but yeah, this is nice.

Fine, I guess I will seeing as your the only one reading this so far. =P Like you said, I hope there will be more comments after I post this chapter. =]

    “Leah, they are going to be announcing the winners soon so you might want to turn on your radio!” Leah’s mom yelled up to her daughter.
    “Okay mom!” Leah yelled to the floor bellow.
Ever since yesterday Leah had barely moved from her spot on the bed. The only time she actually did get up was for dinner and to take a shower.
    A huge sigh escaped Leah’s lips as she made her way over to her alarm clock, which doubled as a radio. After pressing the radio button and adjusting the station two voice floated out of the speakers. “So Johnny, ready to announce today’s winners of the week in Cali with the Jonas Brothers?” Said a highly enthusiastic voice.
    “Of course Rob! Just for those of you who live under a rock and don’t know about this contest, let me tell you about it. First off, three lucky girls will be getting to fly out to California to spend a week with the Jonas Brothers. However, that isn’t the best part, you also get to go on a date with these three boys. There is a catch though, in order to see whom you will be going on the date with, you will be running a little obstacle course. Each girl gets to choose their own lane and at the end of each lane is one of the boys. Whichever boy is at the end of your lane is your date! Now isn’t that exciting?” The one named Johnny said quickly.
    “Okay,” Rob said getting serious, “Now is the moment you all have been waiting for. Drum roll please, and the winner is, Eleanor Mosha, Sadie Jackson, and Leah Evans!”
    Leah was sitting at the end of the bed with her head in her hands wishing they would finish blabbering.     However, when she heard her name she just about fell over. “You… you have got to be kidding me.” She said to the radio.
    “Now, the three winners have two hours to claim their prize, if not, we will have to choose another winner. Now here is the latest hit by Maroon 5!” Johnny said before music began pouring out of the speakers.
    Leah still stood there shocked even as feet pounded up the stairs and into her room. “Leah, you won! This will be such an amazing experience for you!” Her mother said as she ran over and smothered her daughter with a hug. Leah still hadn’t said anything so her mother continued, “Honey, aren’t you just excited? I know I would be! You should get packing right away while I go and claim the prize for you. When I’m done I will come back with the details.”
    As her mother walked back out the door Leah just sat back down on the bed. “Do I even want to do this?” She asked herself. By the time her mother had come up, she still wasn’t sure she even wanted to do this. Life was fine the way it was and she knew doing this would leave her a different person. Whether for the better, or worse, she didn’t know.
    “So, how is the packing going?” Her mother said as she sat down next to her daughter on the bed.
    “I haven’t started yet…” Leah responded.
    “Well you might want to, the obstacle course and date is on Thursday. Friday you will be departing for California. They said everything should be paid for, except items you wish to purchase while you are there.” Her mother responded practically bouncing in her seat. She was so glad she entered her daughter in the contest because it would get her out of her room. She knew that her daughter liked her space, but she also knew this was an opportunity her daughter couldn’t miss out on.
    As her mother gave her a stern look, Leah finally got up and grabbed the brown suitcase out of her closet. Her mother smiled before she made her way out of the door, leaving Leah to pack. It was currently Tuesday which meant in two days she would be running the obstacle course with the other girls.
    Forty-five minutes later the brown, rolling suitcase was packed to the brim. It was a relatively small suitcase because she normally didn’t go on vacations for more than a few days. However, with quite a bit of smashing, Leah managed to pack a week worth of clothes in there and the necessities.
    Leah was about to hop onto her bed to spend the rest of the evening listening to music when her youngest sister Cadence walked in.
    “What cha’ up to?” Cadence said, she had just gotten back from her dance class and came in to see what her sister was up to.
    “Well,” Leah said, “I was about to relax after spending who knows how long packing. Do you need anything?”
    “Nope.” Cadence said rolling on her toes.
    The two looked at each other for a good two minutes before either of them spoke up. “So then what are you doing in here?” Leah finally asked.
    “I don’t know. Hey Leah, why are you always in your room? It looks pretty boring in here to me.” Cadence responded.
    “Don’t worry about it, you’re too young to understand.” Leah said standing up to give her sister a hug and walk her over to the door. “Why don’t you go play with your dolls, I’m sure they are a lot more fun than hanging around with me.”
    “Okay!” Cadence said suddenly full of energy.
Laughing at her seven-year-old sister, Leah went back and lay on her bed. Before turning on the music she thought, “Enjoy being young and innocent while you can, before you know it you will have to deal with the evil of this world.”

ooo, thanks!!! =D i liked it a lot. and i find it funny how she's so reluctant to go. most people would be like "it's the JONAS BROTHERS!!! LET'S LEAVE NOW!!!" lol.

-sigh- i wanted to win the contest.... which really isn't possible since i'm not in this fic... lol. *daydreams about winning a date w/ one of the fabulous bros*
