Goodbye Misterr Jonas! [A kevin one shot for Alana!]

This is for Alana because she rules and she's my number one Jobrohoe!!

Teenage girls across the world were suddenly finding themselves bursting into tears as the news travelled through the different countries. So many hearts were broken as the tragedy of the oldest Jonas brother hit them hard. All the bickering that had gone on amongst them over trivial things was finally over as they united in their anger and despair. No one saw it coming, no one could stop it. Especially the seventeen year old girl in northern England.

Alana threw her hands up in despair as she looked around her room at the ever growing pile of clothes. Her frustration was etched on her face as she turned to look at her friend, Sinead. Sinead gave her a disapproving look before shrugging.

“I thought you came here to help me pick something out.” Alana groaned as she picked up a few of her clothes scattered across the floor.

“I told you to wear the orange dress.” Sinead exclaimed, nodding in the direction of the dress she was talking about.

“But it’s orange!” Alana complained, shooting the dress an evil glare.

“What about the blue dress with the black leggings?” Sinead suggested, picking up a pretty blue dress and shoving it in Alana’s direction.

“Too casual.”

“The little black dress?”

“Too traditional.”

“The red dress?”

“Too much tart.”

“Your jeans with the pattern on?”

“Not enough leg.”

“Should I just shoot us both now?”

“Oh yeah and then I miss out on the biggest date of the century!” Alana said, rolling her eyes.

Sinead grinned at her friend before walking over to the wardrobe that had barely any clothes left inside it. Her eyes scanned across the rails looking for something that Alana could wear for her date with her boyfriend later that night. She ignored the babble that was now pouring from Alana’s mouth about how they should have gone shopping for something.

“Do you have any white shoes?” Sinead asked as her eyes stopped wandering and stayed in place on a dress that looked like it hadn’t even been worn before.

“Why?” Alana asked, walking briskly towards her friend.

Her breath caught in her throat as her eyes followed the direction of Sinead’s and spotted the white halter neck dress. She knew immediately that the dress in front of her was what she had to wear tonight. It was the dress she’d been wearing the day she met Kevin.

“I have white shoes if you don’t, but they have a killer heel on them.” Sinead smiled, pulling the dress out and holding it up against Alana.

“Actually I have a white pair of wedges I’ve not tried out yet.” Alana replied, taking the dress from Sinead and looking into the mirror.

“I think we’ve found your outfit Jobrohoe!”

Two hours later and Alana was pretending to be finishing her hair as Sinead answered the door to a very handsome looking Kevin Jonas. Alana and Kevin had been dating for three years and although it was a long distance relationship that at times felt like it wouldn’t survive, they were still going strong. As Alana had left school, Kevin had found fame and obstacles seemed to start surrounding them. Rumours of Disney princesses hooking up with Kevin had left Alana in tears a few times and Alana’s failure to move over to America had left Kevin wondering if they were even meant to be.

But tonight everything would change. They both felt it.

“Welcome.” Sinead smiled as Kevin stepped into the house, half hugging her as he did so.

“Is she ready yet?” Kevin asked, looking hopeful.

“Am I dating any of your brothers yet?” Sinead asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I didn’t think so.” Kevin grinned as he moved into the family room.

Sinead followed him inside and knowing that Alana liked to keep Kevin waiting for five minutes, decided this would be the perfect time to find out if she had a chance with Nick or Joe yet.

“No.” Kevin spoke as Sinead’s mouth opened to speak.

“Not even a little bit?” Sinead asked, frowning with disappointment.

“Joe has a girlfriend and Nick isn’t dating at the moment.”

“Well you better tell him that Princess isn’t getting any special treatment until he makes my title ‘the girlfriend’.” Sinead exclaimed as she flopped on to the sofa, her arms crossing in anger.

“Princess?”

“Long story.” Alana stated as she breezed into the room.

Both Sinead and Kevin turned to look at her in awe. She looked amazing dressed all in white, her hair straightened to perfection with a small white ribbon in the place of a headband. Alana blushed at her boyfriends reaction as he let out a low whistle and pulled her into his arms.

“You look beautiful.” Kevin whispered into her ear as her arms wrapped around his neck.

“Thank you.” Alana replied, winking at Sinead over Kevin’s shoulder.

The two of them said their goodbyes to Sinead after calling a taxi. The journey to the fancy restaurant Sinead had recommended to Kevin was silent as the two lovers held hands thinking about the past three years.

Alana was your typical fourteen year old back in the day. She loved listening to Busted and McFly and crushing on cute guys. But it wasn’t until a school trip to Paris that she actually understood the difference between a crush and true love.

As she stood at the top of the Eiffel tower, the wind blowing her hair about her face, she heard the laughter of three teenage boys. She turned away from her giggling friends and caught the eyes of the oldest boy. He had short dark hair and hazel eyes and was staring right back at her with an intensity that made her blush. She lowered her eyes quickly, trying to disguise her embarrassment at being caught. As her eyes traced the outline of his belt her brow suddenly furrowed as she thought about how ridiculous she was being. She couldn’t speak a word of French and he definitely looked older than her.

However she was unaware of Kevin’s smile that had formed on his lips as he stared at her pretty face. He continued to stare at the girl who was dressed in a pretty white dress, looking like she was about to freeze before quickly excusing himself from his brothers conversation and slowly making his way over to the pretty girl who was shuffling her feet.

“Bonjour.” Kevin smiled, trying to get Alana’s attention.

“Bonjour.” Alana replied, nervous at her mock French accent.

“Uhh… do you speak English I’m kind of bad at French?” Kevin grinned.

“I know the feeling.” Alana grinned back.

And as Kevin slung his arm around Alana’s shoulders to keep her warm, something clicked. It felt like two sides of one soul had finally found each other.

As they pulled up outside of the restaurant Kevin quickly paid the taxi driver and jumped out of the car so he could hold the door open for Alana. Alana grinned at his chivalry and gave him a quick peck on the cheek before the two of them entered the restaurant.

They were seated quickly and Kevin took it upon himself to order them both drinks while they decided what they wanted to eat. Alana tried to think of something to say that wouldn’t bring them back to the topic of her moving over to America, she was desperate to avoid an argument tonight.

“So how’s your week been?” Kevin asked, absentmindedly flicking through the menu.

“It’s been good,” Alana replied, smiling. “your week?”

“Same old stuff. I’m not the only one who’s missed you.” Kevin looked up, a smirk forming on his lips.

“Oh?”

“Yeah…”

“Ohhh… you mean -”

“Don’t say it here!” Kevin exclaimed, anxiously glancing around the room.

Alana smirked to herself as she rolled her eyes and looked back down to her menu. Since Kevin had become famous he was always super paranoid that someone would be there waiting to hear his secrets. The only time he ever felt safe was whenever they were at Alana’s house, a place no one seemed to know existed.

“Would you feel better if we talked in code?” Alana suddenly asked, looking up at Kevin with a devious look in her eyes.

“What type of code?” Kevin enquired.

“Hmm like are you talking about your mighty python?” Alana giggled.

Kevin’s cheeks turned pink as his eyes widened in surprise, then a lazy smile spread across his lips.

“Funnily enough I was.”

“I’ve missed having something to pet.” Alana winked.

“I think you’ve just woken my python up.” Kevin grinned.

Before Alana could respond they were interrupted by a waitress asking for their order. They ordered their food as quickly as possible and immediately got back into their coded chat. Their meal was full of innuendos which had them both either breaking out into uncontrollable laughter or blushing deeply.

The time went by quickly and before they knew it, it was time for them to pay up and leave. As they walked outside a few stray rain drops began to fall, making Alana shudder and Kevin wrap his arms around her protectively.

“Let’s just walk a few blocks to the taxi rank.” Kevin suggested.

“Ok.” Alana replied, wrapping her arm around his waist and letting him steer her away from the restaurant.

They both walked in silence, just enjoying holding each other. About a block before the taxi rank the rain suddenly picked up it’s pace and began to soak the two of them. Alana looked up into the angry sky and felt the rain cover her face. She sighed to herself, not worrying about how long it had taken her to get ready and how quickly it was all being washed away.

Kevin looked down at his girlfriend and smiled to himself. She’d no idea how much more beautiful she looked with the rain soaking her hair and face. He appreciated that it had taken her a while to get ready for tonight because he knew it was all for him, but he was secretly pleased that he was being allowed access to her at the most purest.

Suddenly stopped and turning Alana to face him, Kevin looked up into the sky himself. He mouthed a quiet thank you to God before looking back down at Alana who was giving him a questioning look. He returned it with a small smile and moving his hands up to cup her face.

“Have I told you how much I love you?” He whispered, still smiling.

“It won’t hurt to tell me again.” Alana smiled back, trying to ignore the chill that was creeping up her back due to the cold rain.

“I love you, I love you with all my heart Alana, I’ll love you forever, no matter which continent you’re on.” Kevin said, his smile vanishing.

Tears sprung to Alana’s eyes as she looked up into her boyfriends beautiful eyes. She was overtaken with emotion and moved her hands to his collar, pulling his face towards hers. Their lips met softly as their eyes shut, both of them letting the moment control itself. The soft kiss soon turned slightly more passionate as their lips parted and their tongues met. Their hands moved places and Alana pulled on to Kevin’s curly hair, Kevin moving one of his hands to her hip.

The rain continued to fall on both of them, but neither pulled away from the kiss until they heard the sound of a car pulling up beside them. They stopped kissing and turned to look as two boys got out of a large green car.

“I take it she said yes then!” One of the boys called over to the two of them as he put up an umbrella and ran over to the two of them.

“Congratulations guys!” The other boy grinned as he covered his curly hair with a trilby hat.

Kevin tried to use his eyes to warn the guys to stop talking but both of them were grinning at Alana who looked completely confused.

“What are you two on about? What are you doing here?” Alana asked, looking from one Jonas brother to the other.

“Let’s see the ring then! Kevin wouldn’t even show us! He thought we’d jinx the moment.” The first boy grinned.

“Joe, I think you’ve managed to jinx this moment without seeing the ring.” Kevin groaned, loosening his grip on Alana.

“But the kissing?” The second boy asked, looking worried.

“Pre-celebration, Nick.” Kevin said, rolling his eyes.

“Awkward!” Joe said, before breaking out into more grinning.

“You guys can fix this for me.” Kevin said, before pulling both of his brothers aside and whispering into their ears.

Alana stood back tapping her foot. She was angry their special moment had been interrupted but she was frustrated they knew something she didn’t. Her mind was reeling with thoughts of rings and congratulations, were they referring to what she had let herself wish for many times?

Kevin returned to Alana’s side as Joe and Nick started clapping their hands in a slow beat which reminded her of one of their songs which was more up tempo.

“Take my hand tonight, we can run so far…” Nick began grinning at Alana as her eyes widened.

Joe quickly joined in for his bits and as they sang the chorus to one of Alana’s favourite Jonas Brothers songs, Kevin got down on one knee as he rummaged through his pockets. He pulled out a square box and opened it in Alana’s direction.

“Marry me?”

Alana looked at Joe and Nick both grinning at her, singing. She looked back down to Kevin who looked like he was about to pass out. She bit her bottom lip and clenched her hands into tight balls. The rain continued falling, almost making the moment more romantic. Her face scrunched up as she tried to control the tears that had already started falling down her cheeks.

“Paul Kevin Jonas, I’m going to die.” Alana exclaimed.

Kevin jumped up and pulled her into his arms.

“Are you ok?” He asked, sounding concerned.

“No, my heart. It’s… it’s… I think I might die. YES! I will marry you if I survive this moment!” Alana screamed as she pushed her lips against Kevin’s.

***

Sinead flipped the TV on and started scanning through the channels. She retraced her flicking as she suddenly noticed a familiar face. Her eyes widened in shock as her jaw hit the floor. The one programme she rarely watched, the news, now had a picture of her friend looking blissfully happy with her boyfriend kneeling in front of her, holding up an engagement ring.

“Holy potatoes!” Sinead exclaimed as she pulled her phone out and quickly dialled Alana’s number into it.

So that’s why teenage hearts across the world were breaking in two.
