Chapter One
“Finally the weekend is here!” Ashley exclaimed throwing her hands up in the air, as her and her best friend Marni walked out of school.
“The only reason that you’re excited is because like every Friday we are going out to dinner.” Marni replied rolling her eyes. See this had been a tradition for the two girls. They always went out to dinner on Friday nights. They felt as if it was a good way to end all of the hard work that high school had in store for them.
Ashley just smiled as the two walked up the block, on the street where both of their houses were. T he first house that they approached was Marni’s. Ashley continued walking as Marni walked up her front porch. “Ash call me when your mom is going to take us.” She said in Ashley’s direction.
“Gotcha.” Ashley called over her shoulder as the walk to her house continued. The good thing was that her house was only another house away. There was just that one house that separated Ashley’s from Marni’s. This is way that the two had grown up. Born exactly two weeks apart, lived a house away, best friends since the beginning.
“I’m home.” She called throughout the house when she got inside. After throwing her backpack on the floor she walked over to the fridge to grab a water when something on the counter caught her attention

I’ll be back around 6. I’ll take you and Marni at 630.

Ashley sighed, this was the normal routine. Her parents weren’t around too much, and she would always find notes in the same spot every day. Taking her water she went to her room to start getting ready. Ashley’s room was painted a light blue, with blue and white polka dots on her bed sheets. Throwing her phone on the bed she then pressed play on her iPod speakers. Her attention then turned to the computer when she heard the infamous sound from AIM indicated she had an IM. Looking at the screen name she realized that it was her older cousin Elizabeth, also known as Betsy.

JustLoveAsh: Betsyyy! What’s up?
PeacexLovex3: you know the usual you?
JustLoveAsh: finding something to wear
PeacexLovex3: ahh right it’s the end of the week celebration at Fridays
PeacexLovex3: so what are you gonna wear??
JustLoveAsh: not sure yet. Well time to get ready, talk later Betsy <3
JustLoveAsh is now Away at 4:30 p.m.
Getting up from the computer she walked over to the closet. She wasn’t sure what it was but there was something that made her want to look nice tonight. Taking out a pair of skinny jeans and a white flowy tank top she changed her outfit. She accompanied the outfit with a pair of black converse. After the outfit change she went into the bathroom and went over her hair again with a flat iron. Looking at her final reflection she smiled. Her shoulder length blonde hair was straight with her bangs to the side. Ashley’s hazel eyes stood out with the outfit. As she walked back into her bedroom her smile became wider when she heard three wonderful voices she knew and loved come through her speakers. The Jonas Brothers.
Of course in the middle of the song Ashley heard her mom honk outside indicating that she was ready to go. Grabbing her purse filled with her cell phone, money, some make up, and her iPod, she jogged down the stairs. “Hey mom.” Ashley said with a smile on her face. She just rolled her eyes when her mom just returned with a polite smile. Ashley texted Marni when she was outside, and Marni ran out. Ashley’s mom turned on the radio as she drove, and both of the girls squealed when they heard the song that was on. “When you look me in the eyes, and tell me that you love me….” Marni and Ashley instantly began belting out the words. The song took up the whole carride to Friday’s. After thanking Ashley’s mom the girls walked inside. Immediately they were taken to a table. Ashley looked around and wondered why tonight it was a little more crowded than usual. Shrugging off she sat across from Marni and smiled.
“So what should we get tonight Ashley?” Marni asked with a British accent in her voice.
“Ah you know the normal.” Ashley replied with the same accent. The two just laughed and continued on with their conversation.
