…look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes…
Her radio blasted.
Brittany woke up to the one song she hated more than anything, Even though she HATED the song, she was too lazy to even hit snooze so she just let the song play.
She loved the Jonas Brothers, there was just something about that one song she didn’t like. She never did and never would understand it.
The song finished and the radio DJ came on, “Good Morning, Boston. As you all may already know, the Jonas Brothers are in town tonight, and we have last minute tickets to the sold out show! Caller number seventeen at (508) 985-1234.”
Brittany lazily grabbed for her cell, she didn’t really care if she won or not, she just liked trying. In the past she had tried for Panic At The Disco, The Cab, and even Hansen tickets when they came to town, but she never won anything.
“Ringgg, Ringgg, Ringgg.” The phone rang in her ear, “Good Morning Lucky Caller Number Seventeen, what’s your name?” the radio host asked her.
Brittany couldn’t believe it, she always tried, but never won anything, now on her seventeenth birthday, she won tickets to see the Jonas Brothers, the biggest band in the pop scene today. It didn’t hurt that her favorite celebrity gay man, Perez Hilton, ABSOLTELY LOVED these guys.
“Uh, wow. I’m Uh, Brittany.” She told the DJ.
“Well Brittany, you just won three tickets to see the Jonas Brothers live tonight. Are you excited?”
She could barely believe it, she was still lying in bed, and her birthday was already perfect.
“Uh, Yes! I’m psyched!” she screamed sitting up in bed and throwing the covers off.
“Awesome, so can you hold on while we announce this and then I will get your information.” The DJ told her.
“Yep sure,” she said a smile forming on her face.
She knew the next step was in calling her Best Friends, she had just won three tickets, who else would she take? But for now, she would sit on the phone getting ready, so when she called Marni and Ali she would be able to leave right away.
She put her cell on speakerphone and placed it on her dresser as she picked out random clothes to wear, black skinny jeans, a red and white striped tank top, and a black hoodie, just because it was a little chilly even in the middle of May.
She dressed and threw on her Vanz all before the Radio guy was even ready to take down her information.
She answered his questions and agreed to pick up her tickets at the radio station later that day.
She called Marni and Ali, immediately telling them about her morning. They agreed to meet her at Starbucks before they accompanied her to pick up the tickets at the radio station.
The three girls met up at Starbucks and ordered their drinks. Then headed off to the radio station in Brittany’s Lime Green Bug (the car kind…), that her parents had gotten her for her birthday present.
The three drove to the radio station to pick up the tickets, not realizing that the Jonas brothers were actually going to be there, doing a radio interview.
The three girls stepped out of the car, fixing their outfits and sunglass.ses they walked towards the door, attempting to make their way through the crowd of young girls.
Brittany glided slightly ahead of the other two and heard someone scream, “OH MY GOD! It’s Joe Jonas!!!” she turned to see who screamed and to see if it was true, only to be mauled by a bunch of screaming twelve-year-olds thinking that SHE was Joe. Boy, were they mistaken.
She was tackled to the ground by a group of screaming girls; she couldn’t get up, never mind move.
These little girls were doing whatever they could to TOUCH her because they thought she was someone she definitely wasn’t.
Marni and Ali had wondered where their friend had disappeared to, having not seen her mauled, and figured she made her way through the crowd and into the radio station. They looked at the crazy crowd and to each other, “Uh, let’s go back to the car?” Ali suggested.
“Yeah, I don’t think we are getting through this crowd.” Marni laughed and the two headed back to Brittany’s car, standing outside it, because leave it to Brittany to actually LOCK her doors.
The young crowd of girls never got the chance to find out the person they were ‘attacking’ wasn’t Joe, but Brittany because Big Rob walked out the Radio Studio Door, “Joe!” he said walking up to Brittany and taking her by the arm, dragging her into the Radio Station Building.
Once inside the building, they headed for the elevator, Big Rob never letting go of her arm. “Jeeze Joe, I have been looking all over for you! Are you ready for this interview or what?” he asked her; obviously he didn’t even recognize that she wasn’t Joe, even though he had been holding her for a while.
He walked into the interview room to find that Joe was sitting in one of the little rolly chairs with his two brothers, “Hey Rob, Joe found his way back, apparently he just had to use the rest room really bad.” Nick pointed out laughing sillily, Joe nodded, a goofy smile on his face as he spun around in the chair.
Big Rob looked at Joe, then the girl in his hands, and back again.
“Whose that?” Joe asked smirking at Brittany, in Big Rob’s grasp.
“Uh… good question, I thought she was you, and uh, so did they.” He said, pointing out to the fans in the parking lot.
There was no way there could have been two Joe’s and Big Rob almost thought she was an impersonator, one thing the guys HATED, until Joe revealed that she was a girl.
Joe looked at her, standing there, a shocked look on her face.
He walked over to her, “Uh, Hi.” He said moving her white gl*CENSORED* from her face to reveal her brown eyes.
He looked at her and at Big Rob, “Dude, she’s a GIRL… how could you even THINK she was me?” Joe asked his security guard.
Big Rob looked thoroughly embarrassed, “Well, the fans thought she was you, so I just assumed, and you wee MIA, so I just figured…” Big Rob went on until Joe stopped him.
“So uh, what’s your name, double me?” he asked her.
“Brittany,” she managed to say, still in shock of the mauling outside and the kidnapping by Big Rob in here. Her friends had told her she looked like Joe, but she really never believed them completely, she always thought it was a joke.
“I see. Well, what were you doing out there? HUGE fan?” he asked her.
“Well, uh, today is my birthday, and I won tickets to uh, your concert tonight, so I was picking them up with my friends, who are still out there I think.” She said glancing out the huge window to the crows spotting Marni and Ali standing by her Bug, she had locked the doors so they couldn’t get in.
“Yeah, there they are, by my car, the Lime Green Bug.” She said pointing them out.
Joe looked out the window with Nick and Kevin joining him, “Go get those girls Robbie.” Joe instructed smiling at Big Rob.
Big Rob, feeling extremely ridiculous for mistaking a girl for Joe, obliged and proceeded out to get the two girls, who by the time they realized what was going on were thoroughly excited.
The other two girls entered the room behind Big Rob, “These two?” he asked. Brittany nodded.
Big Rob went out and took up his post while the boys visited with the three girls for a while and then did their radio interview.
The girls picked up their tickets, three front row seats, and they were ecstatic.
They hugged the guys, receiving backstage pas.ses from them and went home to change for the concert; Brittany was NOT going to be mistaken for Joe again.
After the show, the girls took the backstage pas.ses and went back to meet up with the guys.
They all played Guitar Hero and Brittany somehow managed to PONE Kevin on expert in three songs.
When it was time to go, the six exchanged numbers, “maybe we can hang out again sometime?” Joe suggested giving Brittany ‘the eye.’ She agreed as she burst out laughing and exited with her friends.
“Best Birthday EVER I’d say.” She laughed and her friends agreed.
