Chapter 8;
Recording was going fairly smooth as Corinne and Crystal sat in the waiting room for Ashley and the boys to finish. From what they had heard, everything was going well and they would be done soon. As exciting as it was in the actual studio, Corinne and Crystal were bored out of their minds.
“What do you want to do?” Crystal asked in a monotone voice.
“I have no idea wh-” Corinne began to say but was interrupted when she saw a dark figure quickly scurry behind the corner.
“Okay, I might be going insane, but… was someone watching us?” Crystal asked suspiciously, rising from her chair cautiously.
“I-I Think so…” Corinne replied nervously. “But I need to find out for sure.” She stated before walking over to where they had the spotted the mysterious figure.
“Wait, you’re going to go and look for a crazy person that was spying on us and could quite possibly be dangerous?!” Crystal exclaimed, her eyes looked frightened.
“Well you don’t expect me to just sit there and not find out who it was, do you?” Corinne said, her back turned to Crystal as they walked slowly over to the corner.
“Hmm. I’m not really surprised,” Corinne said as they rounded the corner to find nothing but a plant and an arm chair.
“Well, I mean they couldn’t have gotten far.” Crystal said, looking around the hallway.
“Says the girl who was afraid to go and look in the first place,” Corinne replied with a small smirk on her face.
“Hey, what can I say, mysteries are intriguing.” Crystal said, holding her hands up defensively, a grin on her face.
“Follow me. I think I might have an idea of where they could’ve gone.” Corinne said, glancing back at Crystal before walking down the hallway. After a couple minutes of walking through winding hallways, they finally found themselves standing in front of a large oak door.
“Why did we come to this door? We pasted about a million possible doors on the way here.” Crystal said in an unconvinced tone.
“Well when we first arrived at the studio, I went to go to the bathroom and on the way there I noticed two extremely suspicious men. They just stood there whispering, and when they saw me, they immediately went inside the door.” Corinne said, quietly so that no one could hear.
“Okay, so you saw two large men walk in this door, and you want to go in it? Wow, you really are going nuts.” Crystal said, chuckling softly.
“Oh, come on, this place has video cameras and security guards everywhere. If we so much as scream, there will be people here in like 30 seconds.” Corinne said, trying to convince Crystal.
“Ok fine.” Crystal agreed, taking a deep breath as Corinne’s hand reached over to twist the know.
Corinne glanced back at Crystal one last time. “Here goes nothing.” She said, turning back around and pushing the door open. When they walked in, it was completely dark. Crystal's hand flew up to the wall and started fumbling around on the wall searching for a light switch. After several seconds, the lights flickered on. Corinne looked around, slightly confused, as Crystal sat there chuckling to herself.
“Oh wow. You were right. This IS suspicious.” Crystal stated, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
“I-I don’t understand.” Corinne sighed, looking around at the completely empty room.
“Exactly. There is nothing to understand. Its an old un-used room.” Crystal replied.
Corinne’s eyes wandered around the room, looking for any sign of people having been there recently. It was not until she looked down did she notice that the room wasn’t completely empty. Bending down, she carefully picked up a small folded up piece of paper sitting at her feet.
“Corinne? What’s that?” Crystal asked, looking questionably at the note.
As they unfolded the note and read what was written on it, their jaws dropped and their eyes became wide.
“Oh my-” Crystal began to say.
“God.”
ehhh, even if you say its no big deal that it took me a century, I still feel bad. I'm sorry it took me soooo long D:
