Chapter Three
I was playing tour guide on the side this year, on top of taking my cl*CENSORED* and teaching. Not only that, but being a spy, not to mention the best, the C.I.A. likes to ask you to do things for them. So I had a lot on my plate.
And the pile of things to do just kept getting bigger. Now, I was going to be spending the school year with the Jonas Brothers!! This was crazy amazing.
“Tyler!” Headmaster Righthood called after me . “Yes sir” I said stopping and addressing my attention to him. “I’ve assigned you to be the guide for three of our newest students. It’ll be very important that you show them everything about this school, making sure they tell no one. Do you understand?” he told me. I nodded my head. “Yes sir, I understand.” I told him. “Good. Now, go meet the boys you will be touring around the school in the front office while I go and find Ellie” he told me, and walked off.
Boys?! Wait, no way on earth. The Jonas Brothers? Couldn’t be. No way. But, I guess it was…
“Hi, I’m Tyler Banks” I introduced myself, holding out my hand. “Hi! I’m Joe” Joe, who of course I already knew who he was, introduced himself, shaking my hand. “I’m Kevin” Kevin shook my hand. “And I’m Nick” Nick also shook my hand. “Pleasure to meet you all. I’m going to be your guide here, so if you have any questions about the academy or London or anything, just let me know, ok?” I told them. “Ok, first question. Do I have to fake a British accent, or can I just speak with my American one?” Joe asked, more as a joking matter. “You can speak like you are now” I laughed. “Ok, good. Because I’m not sure if I could talk with a British accent all the time” Kevin laughed.
“So, are you guys ready to get started?” I asked, heading out the office, followed by Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas.
“So, the Buckingham Academy for Gifted Children” Joe said as we walked down the long marble hallways. “Yep. It’s almost 100 years old, and has more secrets and information in its walls than any other building in the world” I stated. “What kind of stuff?” Nick asked curiously. “I’ll tell you guys soon. I promise” I assured them, and Nick shrugged.
“Do you have your class schedules?” I asked, and the pulled them out.
I glanced them over. They, of course, had all the basic first year stuff.
“It looks like I’m teaching your basic self defense class” I told them, acting like I already didn’t know.
“Wait, you’re a teacher?” Kevin questioned. I nodded. “I teach that class with my best friend, Ellie.” I told him. “How old are you?” Nick asked. “16. Ellie’s 18” I told them. “Wow, you must be really smart” Joe said. I shrugged. “I guess…” I said. I knew I was smart. I mean, hello, I could crack any code in like, less than 5 minutes. When I was 4 my dad brought home a code he was trying to break, and I broke it. And of course, I have tons of other reasons why I’m smart, but those are just a few, or one, whatever.
“So, uh, what is basic self defense” Nick asked. I sighed. I was going to have to explain the whole story to them now.
“Follow me” I said, leading them into our library. There was every book you could imagine, plus more. Anything you ever wanted to know. And, if you knew where to look (like Ellie and me do) you can find secret passage ways. It’s pretty sweet.
“Some library” Joe said looking around. “Yeah, we have everything in here” I told him.
We sat down at a table in the center of the room. No one else was in there.
“Ok, are you guys ready for this?” I asked. The nodded.
“This school is…” I started
“Hey!” Ellie ran in and sat down at the table with us.
“Oh my gosh! I know you guys! You’re in a couple of the cl*CENSORED* I’m teaching!!” She exclaimed, jumping up and down in her seat.
“This is Ellie. My best friend” I introduced her, and the boys shook hand with her, introducing themselves.
“It’s great to meet you guys. I didn’t interrupt did I?” Ellie asked
“No, I was just going to tell them what this school was all about” I said through my teeth.
Ellie looked at me confused, and then it hit her. “Oh, gotcha” she whispered.
“Anyways, like I was saying.” I started again.
I took a deep breath. “This academy, is a spy training school.” I said, and Ellie and I sat there as we watched their jaws drop.
