First night was spent driving, making their way across the border to the first concert in glorious Canada. It was actually really fun, traveling and following the band, at one point they even saw the tour bus. The concert that night was.... GREAT! The boys, were gorgeous... and perfect...and so hott. But they knew that if they even wanted to see the next concert they would be driving through the night. The boys were lucky they got to sleep but at least one of the girls had to be awake the whole time to drive.

Her blond hair, which was usually straightened stayed curled, for lack of a outlet, a few times, though they often got a hotel room and slept whenever they could. One of the shows, somehow they had managed to get second row seats and she took everything in closer up this time her eyes wide and her smile huge.

They noticed her, and called her on stage, something they hadn’t done in a while and sang to her. She grinned unable to control her emotions and almost cried. Hugging the boys made her night and her friends both said, how much they wished it was them not her. But she knew they were actually really happy for her.

More nights were spent driving around following the boys. And one night they all pulled into the same fast food place. The girls tried to hide their excitement spotting the three curly haired boys getting off the bus and walked inside like it was nothing else. Standing behind the boys in line lead to little laughs, tons of whispered comments and the occasional squeal.

Finally one of the boys turned around to ask the girls to stop it. That is until he remembered the curly haired blond with the sparkling blue eyes standing there. The two girls standing with her looked familiar too. He smacked his brothers causing them to turn also and then they all recognize her.

“Hey weren’t you at our concert in... New Jersey?”

Her blue eyes grow the slightest bit as she nods her head.

“And now you are here? In Georgia?”

She nods again biting her lip.

“Are you following us?”

“Sort of...”

“Really?”

“Yea. It’s a summer road trip before going back to our boring old lives. And it just so happened that you guys are our favorite band and you were going on tour. And well we wanted some adventure.”

“So how long have you been following us around?”

“Since the beginning. Some of them you really didn’t want to happen though. Like California and then New York. Yea we had to pick times like that. But for the most part we just followed your bus the best we could. Sometimes though it was hard. The teenage girls got in the way.”

“How old are you three?”

“Never ask a girl her age. Especially when you don’t know her name,” the black haired girl says shaking her head.

“Sorry. I’m Joe, which you know. I was wondering if you would like to join us for our meal and have a nice talk and maybe could we find out your name and age?”

“I’m Meredith. Ignore Stephani she’s always been that way. This is Erin, she doesn’t talk much. Erin and I are elderly and Stephani she’s a baby.”

“Just cause I am not in my twenties does not make me a baby,” Stephani pouts before ordering her food.

“Oh so you two are in your twenties?”

“21.”

“Tech 19 but still.”

“I’m 16. The only reason I’m here is cause Erin is my sister...”

“Oh... Okay...”

So the girls and boys get their food and walk over to a pair of tables, getting into pairs without thinking and talking to one another. By the time the meals are done they are telling jokes like old friends and are sad to be leaving each others company.

“So if we ever want to find you just look for a cute little car following the bus?”

“Um no probably not. School starts soon so we have to go back after a few more shows.”

“Well then... How?”

A quick moment of thinking and the girls all have the perfect ideas. Trading numbers and emails and myspaces and face books and everything else under the sun so they could be sure to keep in touch. The girls get back in the car, Stephani agreeing to drive for a while since she just filled her body with coffee and almost right away all three phones start to play. Meredith’s spewing Just What I need by the Cars, Erin was Meet Virginia by Train and Stephani playing When You Look Me In the Eyes. The talks that night filled the car and bus and soon every car ride involved them talking to one another, including the long drive back home. And then one day there is a bulletin posted on Myspace that catches Meredith’s eye.

Her excitement bubbled over when she realized that in a few days they would be there and they could hang out like they had when they stopped for food on the tour. She text Stephani and Erin telling them to check out Myspace before lifting her phone to her ear and calling her favorite of the boys, the one she talked to the most.

“Hey I miss you and hear you are coming to see me.”

“Hey Mer! And yea we are. And Erin and Stephani.”

“Yea them to but you are coming to see me right?”

“Of course gorgeous.”

She loved hearing him call her that, she hadn’t exactly believed him at first but as time went on she realized that he did care about her a lot and he meant what he said, which of course brought a smile to her face.

“I can’t wait to see you.”

“I can’t believe I met an awesome girl cause of tour.”

“I can’t believe that I was going to work all summer and not go on that Road Trip.”

“I can’t believe you never told me that before.”

“I’ll see you in a few days okay?”

“Yea. I’m gonna have a present and a question. Love you.”

“Love you too bye.”

And he did, when he showed up at her doorstep three days later, a teddy bear, wearing a necklace in hand his question spoke through the heart in the bears hand.
