Ashlee’s Garbo one-shot[finally! Haha]

“Whatcha up to, Garbo?” twelve year old Ashlee grinned as she questioned thirteen year old Greg Garbowsky…otherwise known as Garbo.
“Waiting.” Garbo smiled back at Ashlee.
“For what? You know…we could be playing tag right now…” Ashlee said.
“I know,” Garbo nodded. “, but my dad is bringing me back a new bass. He’ll be home any minute now…”
“Ooh. I wanna do that! I wanna take up bass.” Ashlee said excitedly.
“You can have my old one. And when my dad returns…I’ll teach you how to play.” Garbo grinned widely at Ashlee.

After a long day of practicing bass together, Ashlee and Garbo headed to a Phillies baseball game. Aside from bass, Phillies baseball games gave Ashlee and Garbo a special bond.
During the fifth inning, Garbo’s cell phone rang.
It was the call that would change their friendship, and make Garbo well known.
He was going on tour with the Jonases.
[Present time]
Ashlee quickly grabbed her bass and her sunglass.es; the doorbell was ringing like crazy.
She knew it was her best friend Alexa, she was accompanying Ashlee to a bass audition.
Just like Garbo had done.
“I’m coming, I’m coming!” Ashlee went to door and opened it quickly.
Seeing Garbo standing there…and not Alexa. Ashlee didn’t know what to say to him really. She hadn’t spoken to him in 3 years.
“Garbo?”
“Where are you going Ash?” He furrowed his eyebrows.
“Audition.” Ashlee was still in a slight state of shock.
“Oh. Well…I can wait…” Garbo said quietly.
“You can come along….if you want.” Ashlee invited.
[After the audition]
Garbo didn’t tag along; he feared that he’d draw some attention.
“I got it!” Ashlee beamed when she walked through the door.
Garbo was nowhere to be seen.
“Garbo?”
“That’s good news!” Garbo said from the doorway.
“Where were you?” Ashlee questioned.
“Talking with an old friend next door.” He explained.
“Oh.”
“I’ve got more great news!” Garbo smiled, just as he had when he was thirteen and she was twelve.
“Which is?” Ashlee gave a small laugh.
“I love you.”Garbo said.
“What?” Ashlee was confused.
“ I have loved you and I do love you Ashlee. I’m sorry for leaving you…and now…” Garbo was cut off by Ashlee.
“Really? Well in that case…” Ashlee finished off with giving Garbo a quick kiss.
They had both found a way back to each other’s heart.
Sorry for the wait Ashlee...but was it worth it?
