Where Dreams Come True - Chapter 1 (Krystal)
Krystal smiled as she blended the bright pink eye shadow to the eyelid of the girl in front of her dressed as Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora. As she finished up she stepped back and spoke.
“There you go Steffie, now you are the one and only Sleeping Beauty.”
Steffie smiled back and stood up, slowing loosing her balance from the weight of her wig.
“Wow, this thing seems to get heavier each time I put it on.” Steffie laughed.
Both girls looked around the room at the other Characters. By the soda machine stood Mickey with his head by his feet and Cinderella struggling into her dress. It was just another day at Disneyland in California. Well all except that today Disney Channel, Disney Records, Radio Disney and Disneyland were getting together to Celebrate the Start of Disney’s new branch of business; The Disney Modeling Agency.
Today was going to be filled with animated stars like Mickey and Nemo to Pop sensations like the Jonas brothers and the Cheetah Girls.
Sitting back on her bench Krystal picked up her coffee and took a sip. In all of her twenty one years of living; the last three had been spent working at Disneyland, she had never seen the park in such an uproar. Even the janitorial staff was on extra duty to make sure that the nationally televised event was perfect.
Krystal was pulled out of her day dream when Cinderella plopped down in the chair in front of her and in a snotty tone spoke.
“Do your job Kaylee, I’m in a hurry.”
Krystal didn’t move.
“It’s Krystal, not Kaylee.”
“Whatever, just get my makeup done. Some of us have important jobs to do today. I personally want to make sure that I get to be close to the Jonas Brothers! There Scrumptious!”
The girl in the Ariel costume giggled along with Cinderella and Krystal just stared at her blankly. Krystal usually got along with everyone but something about the girls that day was really pulling on her nerves so she did something very uncharacteristic.
“Are you a little old for them? I mean your what thirty now?”
The girls face drained off all laughter and looked at Krystal with a deadly stare.
“I am twenty three.”
Krystal tried not to smile.
“Still their like in their teens. That’s considered illegal.”
“It’s only Illegal if you get caught.” The Ariel said slightly from her perch.
Both girls were in another fit of laughter before Krystal could reply with an intelligent answer, so instead of waiting for them to finish she pulled out her makeup kit marked Cinderella and got to work on creating a believable character.
