Okay. Some of you have read my fanfic "World With No Air" right? Well, I wrote the poems that you read. And now, for Marni, I dedicate this poem one-shot for her graduation. I hope you like it girl! Luff ya! <33 [this is so making my hospital visit happy.. :D] P.S. I wrote this poem. :D.
Wish I could find the right words to say,
For this is my day.
Graduating with pride,
It's been such a long and rocky ride.
Today was finally here. The big day I've been dreading since I was in kindergarden. I've already been through this once, and I don't want to do it again. But in order to go on in my school year, I need to get my highschool diploma. "Marni, you excited hon?" my mother asked through the mirror. I nodded eagerly. "I can't wait to see what everyone else is wearing!" I replied smiling brightly. I knew my mother was secretly dreading tonight. She knew we were going to see my father. When I was five, my parents divorced. My dad was dating this new blonde haired tall girl with blue eyes. I hated her. She looked like a she-man. But she would be there at my grad, so I had to accept it.
As another chapter in our lives have ended, a new one has begun,
Some bad and good memories, I've still had so much fun.
All the new friends I've met,
All whom I will never forget.
We arrived at the church and I got out. I was in a short dark aqua teal blue strapless dress. I had on my black mid length heels. I was wearing my silver dangly earrings and had my long brown hair tied up in a tight bun and my green eyes seemed to sparkle today. "Marni!" a voice called. I turned to see my father running towards me with his fiancee, Macy. He dropped her hand and wrapped me in a bear hug. "I'm so glad for you" he said after letting me go. Macy pecked me on the cheek. My father stood there looking at my mother. "Carmen" he said firmly. She stood there looking at him. "David" she replied.
It's time we go our seperate ways
And never be able to forget the wonderful days
We had and shared
With the people who cared
I could feel the tension between my parents. "Mommy!" two annoying voices called. I felt a pang of annoyance as Macy's two younger daughters came running to her. They were twins and dressed identical. In frilly pink dresses. "Olivia. Rachel. Say hello to Mrs. Carter" Macy said. Olivia and Rachel turned to her. "Hello Mrs. Carter" they said together. I rolled my eyes. What annoying little girls they were. Whenever no adult was around they would act like total devils. Whenever an adult was around, they'd either act like I hurt them, or they'd act like angels. "Mom" a voice said. I turned to see Mike. Macy's seventeen year-old son. He was only a two months younger than me. But he looked like he was eighteen. And man was he good looking.
As the tears fall, the memories grow strong,
None of them regretted, none of them wrong.
As we say our good-byes, this won't be the end,
The broken memories soon to mend.
Mike was so good looking. I'd totally date him if he wasn't going to be my step brother. "Come on mom. It'll start soon" I said pulling my mom inside the church. We walked downstairs to the basement and took our pictures. I had to pose with my mom and dad. And I was forced to pose with Olivia and Rachel. I had to squat to be the same height as them. I then posed with Mike. He was taller than me by like.. alot. "Mom, you guys should probably head upstairs and get seats" I suggested. She nodded and walked upstairs. Macy and my dad following them with their three kids behind them. "Marni!" a voice called. I turned to see Joe running towards me. He was dressed in a white dress top with black tuxedo pants. "Joe!" I exclaimed hugging him. My mom and dad totally didn't like me dating a rockstar. They said that I'd get my heart broken and that he was no good. But they were wrong, Joe was such a sweetie.
All for one, and one for all, that's how it goes,
It's so obvious, everyone knows.
That's how we were,
Everyone was sure.
"You came" I said wrapping my arms around his neck. He wrapped his around my waist. Our lips met for awhile then parted. "We took time off of our tour just to come here to see you" Joe explained. I smiled. "So the whole family is here?" I asked. Joe nodded as a wondering and lost family made theirselves in followed by Rob. They were all dressed up. "Frankie looks adorable!" I said. Joe pouted playfully. "And I don't?" he asked. "No fair. I thought you were my girlfriend". I giggled then hugged him. "I am your girlfriend Joe!" I exclaimed. "Can anyone who is not graduating please go upstairs and find your seats? Thank-you" my teacher announced. I looked at Joe. "See ya bud" I said smiling. He smiled at me. Even if my parents didn't want me to date Joe, I still did. I loved him with all my heart. And he did too. The only person in my family that knew was Mike. Joe fixed my grad cap and I fixed my white gown.
So now, as the night quickly ends,
I say good-bye to all my friends.
I know this will not be the end,
You guys will always be my bestfriend.
We all got into a line and procceded upstairs. I slowly walked down the aisle with all my classmates. My time is now I thought with a smile on my face.
