The period rolled by slowly. FInally, third period came and Macey and I walked to choir together. I opened the heavy blue door and saw all of our friends gathered around, chattering happily. I felt two hands cover my eyes as I walked through the room. "Uhh...I don't know. Is it Chace?" I asked as I crossed my arms.
"No," the person said in an incredibly high voice. I sighed.
THe person moved their hands and I turned around, my face ending only within an inch of Joe's. My heart lept, unintentionally of course, and I jumped back. "Hey," he said with a plastered smile on his face.
"H-hi" was all I could say back. He laughed.
"What are you doing Saturday night?" he asked me. I swallowed hard, and I had nearly forgotten Macey was still next to me until she nudged my arm. Too hard.
"Well, um, we. I mean I.-"
"We're having a party. Want to come?" Macey interrupted my rambling fest. He smiled.
"Sure!" he said. Macey glowed. My mouth went dry and my head was clear of any intelligent thoughts. I was about to say something like "Yeah, we'd love for you to come." but our teacher walked in and Joe was already walking over to Chace. Macey slapped my arm as I stared at the wall.
"Mace...what happened to me?"
"I told you you liked him!" she exclaimed. I took a glance back over at Joe. His dark hair, his muscular body, his topaz eyes, and his smooth voice. If he flashed me one of his perfect smiles, I probably would be blinded. Macey giggled as we began warm-ups.
