ok so it's been a while since i posted a oneshot let alone worked on one...but i have finished Stephani's and now i have two left. i hope that you like this Steph....and everyone else as well. so here it is.
Yes (oneshot/songfic)
She moved into my old apartment
That's how we got this whole thing started
She called and said that I had mail waiting there for me
I told her that I’d come and get it
How could I know in just a minute
That I’d be standing face to face with my own destiny
Joe was sitting in his new apartment trying his best to enjoy the time he had off from his usual busy schedule when the phone rang. He got up off the couch and picked the phone up only to be greeted by an unfamiliar female voice telling him that she had received some of his mail. He quickly realized that she must be the new tenant of his old apartment and told her that he would come and get it.
He didn’t realize when he got there that he was about to meet someone that would become a huge part of his life.
Ohhhh how we sat there talking just like we were old friends
Ohhhh then I asked her can I see you again
She said yes! and I said wow!
She said when and I said how about right now
Love can't wait then I asked if she believed in fate
And she said yes
When she opened the door, the first thing that Joe noticed was her beauty. Her brown hair ended at her chin and her brown eyes almost seemed to penetrate him as she looked at him. She invited him inside and he walked into the familiar and yet unfamiliar place. It appeared that she had changed the place some, like getting rid of the old furniture (which was probably smart seeing as most of it was falling apart) and painting the walls different colors. The colors weren’t bright or an eyesore, they were actually very relaxing and the place made him feel more at home now than it did when it was his home.
She offered him something to drink and brought over a soda for him with the mail that was rightfully his. He took a seat next to her on the couch and they started talking almost like they were old friends. They talked for hours before he realized the time and figured he had to go and meet his family for dinner. Before he left though he asked her if he could see her again and she replied with a yes. He could only think to respond with a wow and she questioned when. He suggested right then, invited her to go to dinner with him, then asked if she believed in fate before she could even answer. Her response made him smile because she said yes.
The days flew by just like a fast train
And nothing else has been on my brain
Except the thought of how she makes me the man I wanna be
She's the one I long for a million reasons
Loving her is just like breathing
It's easy and it's obvious she was made for me
Days flew by and before they both knew it, they had been an official couple for almost six months. Ever since their first date, nothing else seemed to be on his mind except her and the way she always made him the man he had always wanted to be. The man that his mother had raised him to be.
He knew he loved her and not for just a few reasons. He loved every single thing about her, even the things that she saw as flaws. Those flaws made her that much better and he wouldn’t change anything about her no matter what, because loving her was like breathing to him. It was easy and something that he needed to do. As he thought about her, he knew that it was obvious that she was made for him.
Ohhh then it happened one night looking in her eyes
Ohhh when I popped the question much to my sur-prize
She said yes! and I said wow!
She said when and I said how about right now
Love can't wait then I asked if she believed in fate
And she said yes
It was the night of their six month anniversary and he had done his best to cook her a romantic dinner. That didn’t turn out so well, seeing as he had no talent whatsoever when it came to cooking. Instead they had ordered in Chinese food and were eating it out on his terrace, enjoying the company that they had while eating under the stars. They were sitting in a comfortable silence when he looked over and asked a question that surprised the both of them. He had just blurted out, “Will you marry me?”
Much to his surprise she said yes and yet again the only intelligent thing he could come up with to say was wow. Much like the night of their first date, she asked when and he came back with right now. That faithful question of whether or not she believed in fate came up and her response was still the same, yes.
So we called a preacher, family and friends
And nothing's been the same since.
She said yes! and I said wow!
She said when and i said how about right now
Love can't wait then I asked if she believed in fate
And she said yes
The arrangements were made and their family and friends all showed up to watch the couple get married. Stephani’s dress wasn’t exactly the typical wedding dress but with the short notice of her own wedding, she was happy with what she had. Plus it wasn’t the dress that she wore that made the night so special. It was the man that was standing at the end of the aisle with the look of pure love and happiness.
Nothing has been the same for the pair since that day that she called him saying that she had some mail that was his. But neither one of them would have changed a thing. As a matter of fact, if they were to do this whole thing over again, Steph knew that she would have said yes just like she already had. Although it was his turn to answer yes when she asked him if he was sure he was ready to be a father after she returned from her doctor’s appointment and learned she was pregnant.
