Luck wasn’t on her side however as she tripped over her own two feet. When she looked up from catching herself, she noticed that nobody had noticed her near disaster. Or so she thought.

There was someone that had seen it and he was quite tempted to go and ask if she was okay. Heck he just wanted to talk to her. She was beautiful and he just wanted the chance to get to know her. The one problem with that though, his girlfriend of six months, Tracy. He was at this party with her and if he just ditched her to go talk to a random, beautiful stranger it would be all over the tabloids the next day. That wasn’t exactly the publicity that him or his brothers needed.

Megan walked around trying to find her friend, Crystal. She knew that this was the party that Crystal told her to meet her it, but it appeared that her friend hadn‘t arrived yet. As she was making her way back towards the front of the apartment, she decided to survey the people that were already there as she waited.

She noticed a lot of people that she didn’t know and some that she had met once or twice before. One person stuck out more than the rest though. It was a guy that looked vaguely familiar but Meg knew that she had never met him before. She noticed that he was seated next to a beautiful red head who she assumed was his girlfriend with the way that his arm was draped around her.

She found herself wondering what the guy was like. Pondering who he is and what it would be like to be in the red head’s place. Her mind started to race with the different thoughts and she didn’t realize that she had been caught staring.

As he tried his best to keep his thoughts from wondering about that beautiful stranger, he couldn’t help looking around the room and hoping for just a glimpse of her. He was surprised when he noticed that she was looking in his direction from across the room. She appeared to be deep in thought and he couldn’t help but wonder what was going on in her head.

Megan quickly snapped out of her reverie when she felt the odd feeling of someone staring at her. It only took her a moment to realize whose eyes were focused on her though. The beautiful brown or hazel (she couldn’t really tell from where she was seated) eyes of the man that had just been the center of her little daydreams. As their eyes connected, he gave her a little smile and she could feel butterflies start to float around in her stomach.

Their little staring contest was soon interrupted when Crystal showed up and automatically enveloped her friend in a hug. She apologized for being so late and Meg just told her that it was alright. Not even ten minutes later and Crystal had already managed to drag Megan onto the dance floor where they let loose a little.

Throughout the night, Meg caught the mysterious guy looking at her countless times. He never did come up and try to talk to her, but in a way she understood. A few times when she saw him looking on, she noticed a look of jealousy creep up on his girlfriends face and the glares that were sent in her direction.

Around midnight the party was still going strong but Megan noticed a few people leaving. Two of those people were the red head and the beautiful stranger that she had been silently flirting with all night. She watched him as he started heading towards the door and noticed when he slipped something to Crystal and said something to her. She nodded her head with a smile and started walking over to Meg.

Before she could even ask who he was or what he had given her friend, Crystal handed the object over. In her hand was a crumpled up piece of paper which she promptly opened. She swiftly read the words and programmed the number that was written into her cell and then reread the note just to be sure:
