Thanks Corinne! That's the kind of attitude that makes this forum a fun place to be, where everyone can be appreciated for their hard work and wonderful writing. We're trying hard to give everyone a chance to win an award, cause I know it sucks to get overlooked. : )

I've seen it happen multiple times, both in the official awards and here. It's not in the spirit of the awards, and I really don't like it. So yeah, there have been two other awards, but you never know, this one could be the one that changes everything.

Totally understandable. I seriously think it's a good idea, really. I just think that somethings in the last award thing were a little unfair...like how the people who held the awards, actually got awards. And it seems that with each "group" that has an award, all their readers and followers seem to get awards..not anyone else. (If that makes sense.)

I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, nor am I trying to cause problems. But if you think about how many great writer's are on this forum, there's no way they can all be recognized. I just think that if they get overlooked in yet another FF award thing, then they're motivation to keep writing will basically be shot.

And I know I'm not one to talk--I've heard from plenty of people about how sick they are that KERNT won so many of the Offical JBF awards. I'm not complaining at all. And I did not vote for myself--not once. Yes, I think awards are flattering...but that's if you win. I'm not going to lie when I say I was disappointed when I saw I was nominated on CAKE awards, but didn't win. Lame, yes, I know, but I still was disappointed.

Seriously, though. I'm not trying to make enemies. I'm not trying to cause problems. I'm not trying to become the hated one on JBF. I don't care if I get nominated or not--I want those who are underappreciated to get nominated--and win. That's all.

I totally understand what you're saying, Niki, believe me. I was nominated for both of the previous award threads and didn't win at all. 
But that's not going to stop me from writing, cause I know I'm really lucky to have just been nominated and have some amazing readers. That, and I'm on here to have fun and meet some awesome people. We're going to try our hardest to recognize people who don't usually get the recognition, so everyone can feel special and appreciated. =] I like that it also gets people's fanfics some attention, to help them get more readers. 

So, yeah, that's our side of the story. We understand what it's like not to win, but we still wanna show the love to all the writers on this board, because they are all amazing in their own way. <3

I get it, I do. I don't want you guys hating me! I swear I'm not trying to start anything.

...Tina will kill me if she sees this, but I think she is one of the great writers on the board. That being said, she was nominated a bunch of times, for both JBF awards and CAKE awards, and she didn't win one. Needless to say, she almost quit. Legit--KERNT almost lost a member. I just really don't want to see that happen part trois.

And as for getting nominations & giving recognition--that's the best part about these awards--truly. I gained alot of readers from the JBF awards, and I seriously couldn't believe it.

But anyways--don't hate on me. I'm really sorry I caused such a commotion. This is a great thing you guys are doing--rooting for the underdogs. Good luck with it & I can't wait to see the results :)
