This is for the lovely Meg!
I told you I'd write one for you! Here it is!
Sorry it took so long!!!

Realize
Take time to realize,
That your warmth is
Crashing down on in.
Take time to realize,
That I am on your side
Didn't I, Didn't I tell you.
She sat across from him, watching him sulk after yet another failed relationship. She hated it when he was hurt, because she too could feel the pain. What she didn’t understand was why girls would date him simply to use him. Nick became emotionally involved with each girl, but they used him for his celebrity status, something he was unable to see. All he wanted was someone to make him happy, but that idea was well out of his grasp. What he didn’t know what that the perfect solution to his problem was there all along, he just failed to realize it.
But I can't spell it out for you,
No it's never gonna be that simple
No I can’t spell it out for you
Meg watched him inhale deeply, spilling his inner-most thoughts to her. She listened to him describe his dream girl, going through a list of qualities that he thought were important for her to have. Everything Nick had said, she found within herself. Meg couldn’t help but feel as though he were describing her. It couldn’t have been more obvious.
If you just realize what I just realized,
Then we'd be perfect for each other
and will never find another
Just realized what I just realized
we'd never have to wonder if
we missed out on each other now.
She tried to deny her feelings for him, because everyone knows that you can’t fall for your best friend, it only leads to disaster. Meg would rather hold on to the friendship they had developed rather than risking it with a chance at a relationship, but she often wondered why God made two people so perfect for each other. It was true, he made up for everything she lacked and complimented her strengths better than anyone else. His heart was simply looking for a home; all he wanted was love, but lately all he ever received was heartbreak.
Take time to realize
Oh-oh I'm on your side
didn't I, didn't I tell you.
Take time to realize
This all can pass you by
Didn't I tell you
Staring aimlessly at his faded converse, Nick said something that made her twinge. “Why can’t girls be more like you?” This statement resounded in her mind like a broken record, giving her chills that he was using her for his standards. If only he knew how she felt inside but would never openly admit it. Meg shifted nervously, a blush overcoming her face, secretly hoping that he wouldn’t feel the heat now radiating from her cheeks.
But I can't spell it out for you,
no it's never gonna be that simple
no I can't spell it out for you.
Glancing upward for the first time, the two locked eyes. No words were exchanged, they weren’t needed. As they sat in silence, Nick held her gaze, staring deeply into her soul. A twinkle in her eyes gave him goose-bumps. He shivered causing Meg to giggle slightly, and at that moment he had fallen victim to her. Nick was always confused about his relationship with her. Sure he valued her friendship, but he often found himself wondering what it would be like to hold her tight, as more than friends. He had his doubts about how she felt towards him, whether she saw him as just a friend or if she too imagined them together. The twinkle in her eyes made him fully aware of how she felt, without needing any confirmation.
If you just realized what I just realized
then we'd be perfect for each other
then we'd never find another
Just realized what I just realized
we'd never have to wonder if
we missed out on each other now.
“It’s you” he said quietly. Raising her eyebrows, she questioned his statement, “Excuse me?” Nick gave a slight chuckle, dumbfounded at his recent realization, “I’m an idiot. It’s always been you. I was just too blind to see it.” Meg immediately knew what he was referring to, a look of shock now plastering her face. As he made his over to her, she was panic stricken, unable to move or process exactly what was going on. Something she wanted for so long was finally happening and she had no idea how to respond.
It's not always the same
no it's never the same
if you don't feel it too.
If you meet me half way
If you would meet me half way.
It could be the same for you.
Nick seated himself next to her, taking her hands in his. Her heart began to beat furiously and she wondered if he too could feel the pounding sensation surging throughout her body. He surprised her by placing a soft delicate kiss upon her lips, sending sparks through both of their bodies. This was the clincher for the pair. Never had Nick experienced a kiss quite like that. He lost himself in that moment, completely surrendering himself to her. His white flag was waving proudly in defeat, giving up the search; he had found his girl.
If you just realize what I just realized
then we'd be perfect for each other
then we'd never find another
Just realize what I just realized
we'd never have to wonder
Just realize what I just realized
It was there all along, the two just refused to admit their feelings. Meg knew she didn’t have to say anything to Nick to let him know what she was feeling, he already knew. It was that special connection they shared, which allowed them to sit in silence and know exactly what the other was thinking. It took time, but eventually they realized that they were indeed perfect for each other. Through it all, true love always finds a way.
