I looked at the cds in front of me. My head bobbed as the sounds of Lloyd poured our of the gigantic earphones. The store was well packed with new music and artists; it was like heaven for me. My head kept bobbing as I changed the song. Tokio Hotel, a German band that was breaking out in English. The sounds of guitar and drums filled my ears. I smiled and took that cd to the counter.
“Hello Megan.” The clerk smiled, his crooked teeth pointed outwards in his mouth.
“John.” I nodded
“Tokio Hotel?” He asked confused, “I thought you were more of the Danity Kane Jordan Sparks girl.”
“I listen to what I like.” I clarified not being able to take my eyes off his yellow stained teeth.
He had at least seven grey hairs left on his head and his eyes were abnormally small. I pressed my tongue over my teeth happily remembering I didn’t have to get braces.
“Well excuse me Miss. Thing.” He laughed scanning the plastic case, “Have a good day.”
I smiled nicely at him, “You too John.”
I walked out into the cold snowing day. My gloves were wrapped tightly around my hands and my jacket was zipped up. I walked quickly to my car. I noticed someone was following me. I stopped pretending I dropped something, he stopped too. I took a deep breath and walked faster I felt his pace get faster as well.
I knew martial arts and I had pepper spray in my pocket right? Plus who would kill me in the middle of a busy street- that was empty. I bit my bottom lip and walked faster. I heard him grunt and I felt his hands grab my waist.
“Get off of me! Let me go!” I yelled as he slung me over his shoulder, “Help me!”
My throat was starting to hurt and I felt my voice losing power.
He started running and he threw me inside a black SUV. That’s it I’m dead, I’m getting killed and cut into little pieces just like in the movies.
He jumped into the drivers seat and started the car.
“Alright, quiet down I’m not going to hurt you.” His voice was urgent.
“Then could you let me go!” I yelled
“Clam down!” he tried to drive his car.
I looked at the doors.
“Don’t bother, I’m going to fast for you to jump out.” He looked at me through the mirror.
His eyes were almond shaped with a light brown tint to it. His hair was straight and long.
“My name’s Joe, Joseph Jonas.” He continued
“Listen I don’t care who you are! Let me go!”
“I need a favor!” He yelled
“I don’t want to help you!” I yelled back waiting for him to stop the car. I had my hand on the lock; as soon as it stopped I would jump out and run as fast as I could.
“I need you to be my fiancé.” He spoke as if he didn’t even hear me.
“No!” I yelled again.
“Please! It’s a big favor, just this weekend.”
“Are you insane?” I couldn’t believe him
“Absolutely not!”
“Then let me go!” I reached over for the steering wheel
“You’ll only kill yourself!” he pushed me back.
“Where are you taking me?” My voice was still loud.
“A cabin in the woods-
“You are going to kill me!” I pulled my knees to my chest horrified
“No! My family is there, they think I have a fiancé, and this weekend that’s you.” He clarified
“What if I don’t want to.” I looked out of the window still scared; my fingers never left the lock.
“It’s only this weekend!”
“Couldn’t you get one of your friends to do it for you?”
“They’re out of town, girls road trip.” He said calmly, “Plus my family knows their just friends, I needed to get the first girl I saw, and I saw you.”
“Lucky me…” I mumbled
“Listen, I just need this one favor, you could leave on Monday.”
“Its Friday!”
“I said the whole weekend.” He reminded me.
