hi ladies!!!
i have a new chapter for you!!!
i'm not happy with this chapter at all...
it's not my best. and it's primarily a filler for the last chapter.
that's right.
this is the second to the last chapter...
until the sequel.
so...
here it is...
lemme know what you think... if it's as bad as i think it is.

Chapter 14
Jennifer laid awake for the third night in a row, still unable to process everything that was happening. In a matter of days, she had gone through an operation, awakened from a coma and now had lost everything she had lived for.
She felt as though she were a stranger, trapped in her own body. She now had to be reacquainted with her mom and her sister, as well as herself. Everyone was always saying how strong Jen was, but sometimes she doubted them because of the state she was in today. Jen wanted so badly to remember, but she couldn’t and this pained her the most.
The day that Jennifer woke up, she looked around her room and couldn’t identify the faces staring back at her. Even though she had spent the previous 15 years of her life with them, her mom and Crystal were unknown to her.
Her mom explained why she was in the hospital, and informed her that her battle with cancer has lasted for 3 years until she was able to defeat it. Jennifer was constantly apologizing for not remembering anything, but her family took it in stride and told her that she wasn’t supposed to be sorry about anything, instead she should be thankful, because they could help her remember. She was alive, and that was all that mattered.
The letters from Nick remained forgotten for the time being, but the roses kept Jen guessing as to why someone would continue this kind gesture. Crystal had explained they were from Nick, but that just made Jen feel even worse. She had vaguely remembered their conversation, and from what it seemed, she knew this boy pretty well, it was just she couldn’t put a face to the name or remember much about him. She hoped that he would still feel the same way about her, because anyone who went to such extremes to put a smile on her face was truly special in her book.
Thousands of miles away, a rockstar sat in his hotel room, looking out upon the city lights. He wanted to be there with her, to comfort her so she wouldn’t be scared, but he was scared himself. Nick remembered everything about her, and he felt angry that she didn’t even know who he was. He toyed with the idea of calling her, but he knew that unfortunately things wouldn’t change and still she wouldn’t know him. Nick had been avoiding her these past few days, unable to come up with the right words to say. He pictured it as meeting her for the first time. He knew everything about her, but yet she knew nothing about him.
Every time he got on that stage, he felt as though he was empty. Nick knew had a best friend, but the problem was, Jen didn’t know she had one in him. His heart wasn’t fully in his performances, it was instead in a hospital room, with a girl he cared so much about. Nick thought that Jen might have figured out before her surgery that he had taken some interest in her, but now, he was certain that any feelings she would have held for him were now erased forever. His only hope was that she could learn to love him the way he came to love her.
Crystal had informed Jennifer that she knew the Jonas Brothers, but Jen had a hard time believing that she spent a week with them on tour. Joe had suggested that Nick give her a magazine or one of their books, which practically have their whole life stories inside of them, but Nick quickly shot this idea down. He knew what he had to do, he had to see her, to explain himself, and to help her through this. Jen might not know who he is, or what he does, but Nick knew everything, and through it all she still remained the object of his affection.
As he glanced out his window, he could see the stars and the moon. Nick knew that somewhere on the other side of the Earth, Jen saw it too. Even if only for a moment, he felt as though he were with Jen, where he truly desired to be most of all.
Nick didn’t care about anything else. He had to see her. Unfortunately their European tour stood in his way. He told everyone that nothing was going to stop him from seeing Jen once it was over. No one was going to stand in his way. They knew what was best. Nick had his path cut out for him; the sacrifices he had to make. The road that lie ahead for Jennifer was going to be a rough one, but the journey to her heart was going to be even tougher, and that was something Nick hoped to travel one day at a time.
