                                                                              chapter: one

I woke up to the sound of my door closing. I yawned and stretched and looked over to my clock on my nightstand. 1 pm already. I had been sleeping in lately, there was no need to wake up early for school had been out for almost a month already and I didn't have any plans. I got out of bed, put in my contacts and threw on a pink tank top and some shorts. Then I headed down stairs to face my family. Sure they were nice and I love them, but boy did they have the tendency to get on my nerves lately. "Emily," my mom said when she saw me, "You need to get yourself outta bed earlier. You can't just sleep the summer away." I gave her a look that said I can do what I want, but when she returned it with an angry glare I gave her a fake smile.

"Whatever you say mom. Oh and who was in my room this morning when I was sleeping?" I asked her.

"Wasn't me," she replied as she got back to looking through her purse for who knows what, "Ask Laurie." Laurie is my eleven-year-old sister. We could be the best of friends at times, but others she made me wanna rip her hair out. She was on the couch when I got to her. She was watching "That's So Raven" on Disney Channel and looked uncomfortable.

"Hey, Em." She said nervously. She was hiding something.

"Hand it over." I demanded with my hand out waiting for the item behind her back.

"I don't know what you're talking about." She said looking away, avoiding my eyes.

"Laur, I know it was you in my room and I know you have my Jonas Brothers magazine so give it back!" This time I was serious. No one messed with any of my Jonas stuff, which was a lot of stuff to be exact. I was obsessed. If there was one thing in life I cared about more than anything, it was those three boys. Even though I had never met them, they understood me better than anyone else. I truely believed that Nick was my soul mate. I thought about him constantly. We're so alike. From the fact that we are both kind of shy but can be the total opposite to the things we like. My favorite candy is chewy sweetarts, and it has been long before I had known that Nick also favorited them. Obviously there's more we have in common than that but you get the point. If anyone could make me smile on the worst day of my life, it was Nicholas Jerry Jonas.

I sat down as Laurie handed me the magazine. "Thank you." I said, relieved that there was no damage done.

"I'm sorry, I thought you wouldn't know, well mind." She said. I could tell she was glad I wasn't too mad.

"It's fine. Hey, I'm glad I have you to add some excitement to my boring life."

She smiled, "See you do need me." I sat quietly and stared at the ground. She could tell wasn't happy. "Hey, your life is good. Look at you, you are one of the prettiest girls I know, your super smart, and you love the Jonas Brothers more than anyone I know!"

I smiled at her, "You have to say the first ones, you're my sister! But hey, I can't argue with that last one."

We both laughed a little bit. "Ha yeah, but I'm serious about the other ones too. I bet Nick would agree with me too." She gave me a you-know-you-want-him look and I just laughed again. Who was she kidding? "Speaking of him," she said as she turned up the television's volume, "I've never seen this commercial before."

On the screen was Kevin, Joe, and yes Nick Jonas rocking out to S.O.S at a past concert. That picture faded out and the boys were standing next to eachother with Kevin on the right, Nick on the left and Joe in the middle. "Hey guys, I'm Kevin" "I'm Joe" "And I'm Nick" said the Jonas boys. Joe picked up from there, "And we are the Jonas Brothers." They each gave their signature smiles and Kevin took it from there, "Coming up on July 10, Disney Channel is having a special dance for all of the Disney Channel stars. You might be wondering why they're having it, and the answer is simple... Nick?" Kevin gestured for Nick to take over, and he did, "A lot of us stars never got a chance to go to a prom or dance at school, so Disney is holding one for anyone from Disney that wants to come." "Was I invited?" asked TV Joe, doing his little act. Kevin and Nick looked at eachother and Kevin answered Joe's silly question, "Yeah, Joe you are.". "Okay good," Joe smiled, "but Kev, why are we telling them?" Joe pointed at the camera and continued, "They don't work for Disney!". Nick smiled and looked at the camera, "We're telling them because three lucky non-disney-girls will get to go," he paused, "With us."

My eyes widened and a huge smile spread across my face. Then I tuned back into the television.

Some announcer guy was talking now, explaining what to do to enter. "Do you want to be one of the three lucky girls to go to the Disney Dance with Kevin, Joe, or Nick Jonas? Log onto DisneyChannel.com to enter and find out the rules, but ask your parents for permission first..." The announcer continued talking about some rules but I tuned out. This was my chance, my chance to change my summer. Heck to change my life! I wanted this, I wanted this more than anything. Sure, any girl can say that and I'm sure a lot of them did, but this was my chance. My chance to change for the good. No more waking up after lunch time. No more having nothing to do. No more being bored. I always said, if I could just say one word to Nick, Joe, or Kevin Jonas it would change my life. This would definitly do it.

I tuned back into the commercial just as the boys came back on the screen. "So, Joe who do you want to take?" Kevin asked Joe. Joe looked as if he was looking around my living room and then pointed at the camera, "I wanna take that girl right there! She's pretty cute." Joe said about no one in particular. Boy was that kid good for a laugh. Kevin and Nick laughed and the picture faded out. Raven was back on and I was on too, online that is. I hurried and typed as fast as I could. I clicked on the link and I was on Disney Channel.com.

"Oh my Jonas! Do you know how cool that would be to win?! OMJ! I wanna win!" Laurie was dancing around the room talking as if I was deaf and she needed to be extra loud for me to hear her. I ignored her though. I was paying more attention to the computer. I scrolled down the page until I saw the picture of the Jonas Brothers in the outfits they were in on the commercial. I clicked it and the rules for the contest came up. It was the usual stuff so I skimmed through it quickly until I got to the bottom where it said ENTER TO WIN!. I clicked and filled out the information it asked for. Name, birthday, email, address, phone number, you know that kind of stuff. Then I clicked SUBMIT and it was sent. I read underneath and it said you could only enter once, so I prayed it was enough.

okay, so even if no one reads this (which i hope someone does :/ ) im gonna write another chapter anyways. so please please read this and comment it, thanks(:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter: two (nick's point of view)

"Dude wake up!" Joe yelled at me as he shook me awake. I had fallen asleep on the couch waiting for an hour for me and my brothers' commercial to come on.

"I'm up, Joe! Quit shaking me." I wiped my eyes and got out of 'sleep-mode'.

"Well you're too late anyway. You missed it! You couldn't have waited 5 minutes!" Joe was making too big of a deal about it. It's not like we were never gonna be on TV again.

"I was tired, lay off." I said defending myself, "Where's Kevin? He missed it too."

"Yeah I know. He left right after you fell asleep. I think he had to pick up Frankie." Joe answered. "But anyways, how was your nap?"

"Good. I had a dream about that dance thing." I thought about it for a second. It was a good dream, I decided to tell my brother a little about it, "My date was beautiful. She had darkish brown hair, she was tall and thin, her eyes were incredible. They were different than anything I've ever seen, in a good way. She was really nice, a little shy at first, but once we talked for a while she was really open and I found out she was smart and loved music and it was just perfect." My mind drifted off picturing my dream girl. "She wasn't like any other girl I'd ever met. She was special."

Joe chuckled and gave me a weird look. "Welcome back to reality lil bro." He got up and went into the kitchen. I stayed where I was. He was wrong. There must be a girl out there somewhere that's like that. Someone that is perfect for me, I know there is. What better time to find her then now?

"Hey Joe," I shouted into the kitchen and waited for his reply. "Yeah?" he answered. "When do we find out who we get to take?" I asked curiously.

"In a week, July 5th" he answered as I took out my iPhone and typed in the date on my calender.

thanks guys(: im gonna keep writing since its fresh in my mind lol.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter: three; part one (Emily's point of view)

It was 11 am. I had woken up at 4 am. I couldn't sleep. How could I considering tomorrow was the day the Jonas Brothers choose the girls they take to the Disney Channel dance. In the time that had passed since I clicked submit I had already changed. I was waking up earlier, today especially. I was less irritated with little things. I was always thinking about the Jonas Brothers (okay so that wasn't really different than usuall). I prayed everynight and every morning to be one of the winners. I would love to go with any of the three gorgeous guys. I wanted this so bad. Anyways I had learned a lot more about this dance. It turns out that the cast of a lot of the shows were going, not including the adults in most cases. Some people that were definitly going included Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Cole Sprouse, Dylan Sprouse, Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, The cast of Camp Rock, The cast of High School Musical, and a lot more. Some were taking dates that they already knew and a few others were doing contests similar to the Jonas Brothers. The dance would be held in L.A. and the winners would get to spend 3 days there. The day before the dance, the day of the dance, and the day after. Oh and the Jonas Brothers would have no idea what the girl they were going with looked like until the dance.

I sat and looked at my Jonas-covered walls. I had really convinced myself that I could win. Who was I kidding? There are so many other girls that entered and I was just one girl alone in the crowd. I got my hopes up so high, I just hoped I wouldn't be too disappointed tomorrow. I looked up and closed my eyes. Dear god, let me have this, please let me have this.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter: three; part two (nick's point of view)

I opened the fridge door and pulled out a bottle of water. It was nice to be able to relax with a day off. Tomorrow we picked our Disney Dance dates and would be busy all day. I need some time to just chill. I walked out of the kitchen and over to the couch. I took a drink of water then set the bottle down and picked up my guitar. It was nice and quiet in the house, the perfect time to write a song. Joe and Kevin had gone out to get something to eat. They didn't want to have to prepare anything since mom and dad weren't home. They were visiting a friend with Frankie.

I looked around the room. What should I write about? I closed my eyes and thought for a second. Then I pictured the girl I had a dream about a few days ago. Then I started playing. The words came naturally.

look at her,

she's beautiful,

no one can compare,

the way she walks,

the way she talks,

i just stop and stare,

she's my girl,

the one from my dreams,

the way she makes me feel,

i just gotta scream.

cause she's perfect,

she's the one for me,

i never met anyone better,

no one i'd rather see,

cause she's incredible,

she's the girl i want to hold,

we're gonna be together,

while we're young until we're old.

So its not my best work, but it's not too bad. All I could think about is how much I wanted the perfect girl for this dance. I want someone that will care about me and like me for me. It's tough when you're famous. You never know who likes you for you or who likes you for your stuff or because you're famous. It's hard but I'm living the dream, with everything great comes some bad things. I'm just hoping that this is gonna be a good thing tomorrow.

Chapter: four; part one (Emily's point of view)

It was the day. A week had gone by since I hit SUBMIT. I got out of bed with a smile on my face. I looked up and closed my eyes. "Well God," I said outloud, "Today's the day. Are you ready?" I couldn't help but be excited, even though I was trying to stay calm. There was another hour until the boy of my dreams and his brothers picked their dates to the Disney Dance. I was so nervous. I went downstairs and sat down on the couch. It was pretty quiet. Laurie was at a friends house, my other sister Sophie was with my mom at the store, and my dad was at work. I was home alone waiting for something that could be absolutely amazing.

Chapter: four; part two (nick's point of view)

We pulled up to the studio. Joe got out first, followed by Kevin, and lastly me. This was it. In a little less than an hour I would be picking my date. I was so nervous. We walked up to the door and went in. I was glad there weren't any screaming fans there, I wasn't in the mood for becoming deaf at the moment.

"Kevin, is it me or does Nick look extremely nervous?" Joe asked my oldest brother while giving me a strange look. Was it that obvious?

"He does look pretty nervous. Look at his face, man!" Kevin said, now also giving me weird looks.

"You guys realize that I'm right here and I can hear everything you're saying?" I asked them. Either they were trying to annoy/ make fun of me, or they were really stupid. I figured it was a mixture of both.

"Don't sweat it, dude. You're just picking a date to a dance. It's not like who you pick is who you're going to marry." Joe said looking as if he didn't care about this dance at all.

"You don't know that." I thought about that. "Don't you ever think about who you're gonna spend the rest of your life with? You should just stop and think about it sometimes. Like before you go to the mall, think about it, maybe you'll run into the girl you will marry someday. This dance is the chance to meet a great girl that is a possible choice to be your future wife."

"Geez Nick, you've really been thinking about this haven't you?" Kevin asked, sounding concerned.

"Yeah I guess, forget I said anything. I'm just nervous and I'm saying stuff. It doesn't mean anything." I told him.

"Don't stress yourself out bro. I know what you mean though." Kevin told me and then walked over to talk to one of the guys he knew that worked on the set.

Boy was I messed up. I just need to get this over with. I wish I would have never had that dream. All it's doing is making me worry. Its all gonna be fine, it's all gonna be fine.

in this chapter its gonna be switching points of view a few times throughout it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter: five (Emily's Point of View)

Six more minutes. Wizards of Waverly Place was on. In six minutes it would be over and the winners would be announced. On the bottom right of the screen, currently covering Alex's feet, there was the  count-down clock. Five-fifty nine. Five-fifty eight. I couldn't wait much longer. I sat back closed my eyes and took a deep breath. When I opened my eyes all I saw was five-forty nine.

(Nick's Point of View)

"So how are we gonna do this anyway?" Kevin asked a tall guy that was in charge of the contest. I looked at his name tag. It said Ralph Jenson.

"Well," Ralph started, "We have the names and phone numbers of all the girls that entered the contest in a huge bag. Each of you will close your eyes, pull out a name and then, without naming the winner yet we will call them for you with the phone we have here all set up so everyone can here the girls and you can tell them they won."

"Sounds like a plan." Joe said with a smile on his face. How could they not be nervous? Well obviously Ralph wouldn't be, but Joe and Kevin don't seem phased by this at all. Well, when I get a great girl and they get snobs I'll be the one not caring.

"Three minutes!" someone on set shouted. Ralph showed us where to go. We sat on stools infront of the cameras. I caught a glimpse of the huge bag Ralph was talking about. It was pretty big.

"You ready bro?" Kevin asked me. I could tell he was still kinda worried about me being so nervous.

"Yeah, let's do this." I said smiling.

"Okay guys we're live in 5, 4, 3, 2.."

(Emily's point of view)

"Hey guys I'm Joe."

"I'm Kevin."

"And I'm Nick, and we are the Jonas Brothers."

I turned up the TV. Boy did they look stunning.

"A week ago we told you about our contest to see who we are going to take as our dates to the Disney Channel Dance." Kevin said smiling.

"Now we're going to find out who won." Nick said also smiling, but he sure looked nervous. That makes two of us, I thought.

"There were a whole lot of girls that entered and we wish we could take each and every one of you, but only three are going to fly over here to L.A. for three days to be our dates." Joe said.

"Kevin, I think you're first." Nick said giving Kevin a big smile. Some guy came over and set a huge bag down infront of the eldest brother. Kevin opened the top of the bag and closed his hazel eyes.

"Here it goes." he said as he reached in the bag. He pulled out a piece of paper and opened his eyes, but didn't unfold the lucky girl's paper. "We're each gonna say the winners' names after we each pick." Kevin said looking at Joe, "Your turn."

"Alrighty boys. Ladies be prepared for amazingness." Joe said giving a serious but funny look to the camera. Kevin and Nick laughed at him. Joe closed his eyes and reached deep down into the bag. He moved his arm around, stirring the paper, and finally pulled out one. "Hello beautiful." he said to the folded paper and gave it a quick kiss.

"Nicely done, Joe." Kevin said laughing as Joe kissed the paper again.

"Well, its your turn now little brother." Joe said smiling at Nick. Nick blushed.

"Okay." he said staring at the bag. He closed his eyes. "Here goes nothing."

(Nick's Point of View)

I reached my arm down into the bag. I hope I don't get a paper cut I thought to myself. Focus Nick. I moved my arm around in the bag. Okay, this is it. I grabbed on to one piece of paper. It feels special to me. This is the one. I pulled it up, out of the bag and opened my eyes. In my hand I held a piece of paper. A piece of paper I've been stressing about for a week. Now it was in my hands. I had chosen my date. Right here. In my hands.

(Emily's Point of View)

He picked one. He has it in his hands. His beautiful hands. Please let it be me, please.

"Nick, nice picking skills!" Joe said lifting his hand and waiting for a high five from his brother. Nick smiled and slapped his brother's hand.

"Piece of cake." Nick said holding the paper up.

"Alright now lets find out who the winners are." Kevin said smiling into the camera.

Just then the doorbell rang. Of course! I got up quickly and ran to the door. I didn't want to miss the winners. I got to the door to find my neighbor standing there. Mrs. Hastings. She was a nice lady, strange, but nice. She was about five foot five, an inch and a half shorter than me and was about 50 years old.

"Hi Mrs. Hastings, can I help you with something?" I asked hoping that she would leave soon.

"Well hello dear. How are you doing?" She asked. Please leave! I wanted to scream.

"I'm good, I was just watching something very important so if you could tell me what you need.."

"Well my! You sure have grown since I've seen you last!" she cut me off. What was it with old people and telling kids they grew all the time? Besides I had just seen Mrs. Hastings three days ago, and I know I haven't grown much in that amount of time.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm tall now what do you need?" I was trying my best to get rid of her.

"Well hun, is your mother home? I need some help finding something and I thought she would be a good helper."

Just then the phone rang. Ugh! I'm gonna miss the winners. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be.

"Excuse me Mrs. Hastings." I said running for the phone.

"Hello?" I said with a mean tone in my voice when I answered.

"Hi, is this Emily by any chance?"

"Yes it is, may I ask who's calling?" I said getting annoyed. I must've missed the winners by now.

"This is Nick, Nick Jonas." my heart stopped. "And I was just wondering if you would go to the Disney Dance with me?"

I was speechless. OMJ! Did that just happen? I blinked and then pinched myself. Ouch! This was no dream. Then I realized Nick was still on the line. "Oh my gosh." I said, still in shock.

"Is that a yes?" Nick said playfully. I could tell by his voice that he was smiling. His voice, talking to me. All I could think was incredible.

"YES! Yes definitly!" I said. I sat down. I could not believe this.

"Okay great. Now stay on the line so that these guys can tell you all you need to know and you can answer some of their questions." He said, "I can't wait to meet you in person. See you soon."

"Okay." is all I could say. I was going to be Nick Jonas's date. Me. This is amazing. I set the phone down for a second and spun around in circles. I was so happy. I ran to the door where Mrs. Hastings was still standing and gave her a huge hug.

"You doing okay dear?" she asked with a look that said what-the-heck-are-you-doing.

"I'm perfect Mrs. Hastings! I'm perfectly fine!" I said spinning her around and then running back to the phone. She just walked out the door without turning back.

I picked up the phone and waited for the guy to tell me what to do. When he came on he told me everything I needed to know. When I would leave, where I would stay, what I should bring, and so much more. When I hung up the phone tears started rolling down my cheeks. I was finally happy, finally.
