Hey everyone! I’m a fairly new Jonas fan, so if I get anything wrong about any of them, I’m really sorry! :) This is mostly for all you Nick J lovers out there (I’m with you on that!), and in the beginning, the main character will be a Jonas hater at first, but I PROMISE you, I’m not and that this story isn’t about hating them.
Please comment and enjoy!

Chapter 1 – The Radio Contest
-----------------
Michelle heaved a heavy sigh as she heard yet another fan girl screaming over him. The stupid popstar. What was so great about The Jonas Brothers anyways? The name Jonas reminded her of the guy that got eaten by a whale. And that wasn’t exactly attractive.
“Michelle!” her best friend, Corinne screamed as she ran into the room. Her face looked happier than a clown (a thought that slightly scared her) and she looked as if she were about to explode with happiness and rainbows flying out of her. “Did you hear?”
Michelle rolled her eyes. “What? That the whale brothers are going to be on the radio in five minutes to announce the winner?” she guessed, raising an eyebrow.
“You mean The Jonas Brothers? And how did you know?” her friend asked, when a thought popped into her head. “You’re secretly a fan, aren’t you?” Corinne’s hushed tone reminded her of a drug dealer asking if she “had the stuff”.
Michelle just stared at Corinne like she was stupid.
“Don’t be ashamed! Everyone’s a fan!” she said with glee, sweeping her hand in the air to point out all girls at the restaurant working with huge smiles and a few of them humming songs that were probably sang by the group.
“Corinne, I’m not a fan and I never will be,” she stated firmly. She watched with annoyance as a worker checked her watch.
“Three minutes!” she screamed in excitement and all the girls cheered.
One of the only two male co-workers (the other had an entirely different shift than Michelle) and her best friend, Sam, walked through the door. She felt her teeth grind when she realized that he was humming one of the tunes all the girls were.
“Please tell me that’s not a Jonas Brother song,” she growled.
All Sam did was smile at her nervously. “Uhmmm…”
“But you’re a boy!” she shouted. “You have got to be kidding me!”
“Oh lighten up Micki,” he said light-heartedly. She noticed she’d used her nickname and couldn’t help but feel herself smile ever so slightly. “I just got the tune stuck in my head from the other girls. And you can’t blame me! Their co-star for Camp Rock, Demi Lavato, is hot!”
Michelle rolled her eyes, even though she couldn’t help smiling. “I guess I’ll go take a break.” She strolled over to where the girls had all huddled themselves around a radio, all whispering and giggling about what would happen if it was one of them.
She saw Corinne sitting with her fingers crossed, eyes squeezed shut, and silently mouthing the words “please be me”.
A slightly high pitched voice came on. “Hey, what’s up? I’m Nick.”
A lower voice. “I’m Joe!”
And last, but not least, a third voice sounded next. “And I’m Kevin.”
“And we’re the Jonas Brothers!” they all finished.
The girls were all about to scream, when they spoke again.
“Now, we’re going to announce the winner and call her cell phone to go and pick her up,” Joe’s voice announced.
“So you better be ready!” Nick added.
“And the winner is…” Kevin trailed off for suspense.
Michelle watched, holding back laughter, as they all held their breath. Even her “arch enemy” Trisha was crossing her fingers with her gaze fixed on the radio.
“Michelle Gilman!”
A crowd of shocked gazes turned to meet her own very confused sapphire blue eyes. This, of course, included a glare from Trisha, who stormed off.
“But I didn’t enter…”
Suddenly, the ringing of her cell phone went off and she answered it without thinking, still in too much shock to remember who had just announced they were going to call. “Hello?”
“Hey, it’s the Jonas Brothers,” said the cool voice of Joe. “Where are you at?”
Before she had time to hang up the phone or even say a word, Corinne had grabbed it from her. “She’s at the Elmer’s on 54th Street and will get off in 5 minutes!” she exclaimed.
“Give me the phone,” Michelle hissed.
“See you then,” Corinne chirped, hanging up the phone and handing it back to Michelle.
She frowned and shoved it back into her jeans pocket, taking off her apron.
Corinne smiled, grabbing her arm. “Come on, let’s go get you fixed up!” she squealed, leading her friend into the bathroom despite her protests.
