“You excited?” Nick asked after his dad left.
“About what?”
“Your first show.”
“Yea, I’m excited. Also nervous as heck, but I’m excited.”
“You don’t seem nervous.”
“I’m a good actress.” I said. “I’m actually just as nervous to meet Miley though.”
“Oh, Miles? Don’t be nervous about her. She’s the friendliest person you’ll ever meet.”
“Yea, that’s what I’m nervous about.” I laughed.
“What?” he asked.
“She’s just so bubbly.” I said, “I’m afraid she’s gonna explode.”
Nick laughed. “Don’t worry. I think she can contain herself.”
“So, we’re not telling her, right?” I asked.
“About us? I would rather not.” He said, “I mean, like I said, she still likes me. I don’t think she’d be very happy if she found out we were going out. Plus, she’d probably be…well…I don’t know. But I don’t think she’d take a liking to you.”
“Understandable.” I said, lifting my head off of his shoulder.
“We’re here!” Joe yelled from the front of the bus.
“Awesome, let’s go.” Nick said, jumping up. I followed him out the front of the bus and into the parking lot where his bouncer Mo was waiting. I looked up at him. He was easily a foot and half taller then me, and honestly, looked like he could eat me. I smiled up at him.
“Ah, you must be Libby,” He said smiling. “I was told about you. I am now, unofficially, your caretaker.”
“Thanks?” I said and Nick and Mo laughed.
“Come on. Let’s go in.” Joe, Kevin, Nick, John, Jack, Mo, Mr.Jonas and I all walked around the back of the stadium. As we were turning the corner I got a glimpse of the people waiting on line. There seemed like there were thousands of girls out there. As soon as we came into view a scream erupted from the crowd. I jumped and John laughed at me.
“You get used to it.” He yelled over the screams.
Every single girl on line seemed to have reached for her camera. There were flashes going off like crazy. I suddenly understood why the guys wore sunglasses.
As quickly as we had come into sight we were gone again, into the arena. There was still a ton of chatter from outside, loud enough to be heard from inside the walls. I sat down in a chair and held my head.
“That is going to take some getting used to.” I laughed.
“Yea, I know.” Kevin said. “It’s weird.”
“Well, it’s one thing for you guys to have girls screaming every time you walk out, they’re madly in love with you…or at least they think they are. It’s just weird for me.”
Nick laughed. “Don’t worry, you’ll have some fans too.”
“Pft, sure…” I said, rolling my eyes.
“We have fans.” Jack said, “They refuse to admit it,” he said, pointing to the guys, “but all those girls are screaming for me.”
“Of course.” I said.
“He’s serious…sadly.” John said.
I grinned. “Yea, maybe one of those girls’ll have a cute brother.” Nick elbowed me and I laughed. “Kidding!”
