~Hearts Collide~
They say that the teenage years are supposed to be the time of your life, it doesn’t get much better than this. After this you have to be an adult and can never go back to just being a kid.
They were no different than any other 16 year olds, they had friends and lives of their own. The only thing that was different was that he was part of a band that toured the country and she was the daughter of his manager.
Lives are meant to be lived and not to be shoved to the side. Hearts are meant to be broken and mended. To collide with each other. True love is meant to be found and not ignored.
The day they met, it was a complete accident. They ran into each other in a hallway. “Sorry” he said “No No it’s my fault” she replied. They looked up into each other’s eyes “I’m Joe” “I’m Becky” they smiled and then parted without another word.
Can you really find someone that can make you happy for the rest of your life? Is it possible that you can find your true love and completely miss it?
After they met all that was on their minds was each other. They continued to run into each other at events and in the hallways, but both were too shy to ever say anything to the other. They went on this way for weeks, and then he left on another tour with his brothers.
Who can tell the inner workings of the heart? What it thinks and feels how it reacts. We can always assume and it sometimes gives us small hints as to what it really desires. But we will never really know why the heart chooses who it does.
Their hearts chose each other, they didn’t know why or how. But that’s what happened. The day of the accidental meeting they fell in love, because that is how it was meant to be.
Love has never come easy to anyone, a look through history will tell you that. Lancelot and his Guinevere, Romeo and Juliet, Helen and Paris…none of them ended with kisses and roses. Most ended in death. Can true love end happily? Or is it all just fairytales?
