Chapter: 5
Okay so that was day one of my Hawaiian vacation, and I thought it was going pretty well so far. The bad part didn’t happen yet, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t going to. Well, you want to hear about day two? Well it started when I woke up that sunny, June morning…
“Hello world, my name’s Joe Jonas and I’m ready for you, are you ready for me?” I said looking at the ceiling. I jumped out of bed after a night of perfect dreams about my summer love.
“Joe, are you talking to yourself, again?” Nick said just waking up and trying to blink the sleep out of his eyes.
“No, Nick.” I said, “I’m talking to the world. The beautiful, wonderful world.”
“Okay man, who’s the girl?” He asked me giving me a smirk. How did he know?
“Oh, no one. She’s just the love of my life.” I said smiling big at my little brother.
“The love of your live?” He asked doubting me. “We’ve been here a day and you’ve already fallen in love?”
“Hey, just because you aren’t blessed enough to be doesn’t mean that it’s not possible for me to be.” I told him smiling. He just laughed.
“So,” He said smiling at me, “When’s the wedding?” I smiled.
“It shouldn’t matter to you,” I started, preparing a way to joke around with him, “It’s not like you’re invited.” He laughed and shook his head.
“Well if you can’t tell me that, can I at least know the name of my future sister-in-law?” he asked me being half serious but still joking.
“Kristin.” I told him.
“Kristin what?” he asked me looking for an answer.
I thought for a second. I don’t know her last name! I’ll have to ask her today. “Kristin..” I paused. I didn’t want Nick to know that I didn’t know. “Soon to be Jonas.” I said and walked out of the room to change. Nick just shook his head and laid back down.
Once I got my swim trunks on and was ready for the day, I ran out of the suite and made my way towards the beach. Oh crap, I thought. Where was I suppose to meet her at? I began to panic. Oh man what was I going to do?
Just then someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around. No one was there. I spun around the other way. Still no one. Then I faked turning left and then went right and became face-to-face with the girl of my dreams.
“Hello beautiful.” I said smiling at her.
“Hello yourself.” She said with a slight smile.
“I was getting worried that I wouldn’t be able to find you. We never said where we were going to meet up at, for our date.” I said smiling at her. Her blue eyes were glowing in the summer sun.
“Well,” she started, “I figured that out after I left so I came and found you so you wouldn’t have to look.”
“Good thing you did.” I smiled. “So what do you want to do today?”
“Don’t ask questions,” She smiled, “Follow me.”
And that’s exactly what I did.
