It finally cooperated. So instead of writing one of the five million essays I've gotta write for college apps I wrote THIS lovely update. At least I hope it's lovely.
Comments make me smileeeee especially while writing boring essays =].

You Save Me
Chapter 12
For the first time in days, Kerralyn fell asleep with a small smile on her face and the tears that usually glossed her features were tucked away instead of being dried upon her cheeks. She woke up the next morning, happier than she’d been in weeks. She pulled on her favorite pair of dark skinny jeans paired with a maroon tee shirt and matching maroon flats.
Her mood was ruined within her first few classes at school with several test scores that weren’t what her parents would expect. She hoped and prayed throughout school that they wouldn’t think to check the grades online, not tonight. She curled up in her seat a lunch, head bent over the notebook that she was so frequently writing or drawing in. The small spiral bound notebook had become the one thing that understood her, who didn’t judge no matter what she wrote between the lines.
The only class that she enjoyed was her creative writing class, because to her, it was the one way that she was able to express what she felt, every minute of every day. Invisible.
She slipped inside, to an empty house, a note on the table from her parents stating that they had gone out shopping, then were going out to dinner with some friends of theirs. Kerralyn breathed an audible sigh of relief at the luck she had received. Her parents wouldn’t think to check the grade until the next day, at least. She hoped.
1:30AM
Kerralyn sat in front of her computer, aimlessly typing the tidbits of lyrics and poetry that she had written throughout the day and waited for Joe to sign on to talk to her. If he’d talk to her. He promised, one side of her brain argued.
But so did HE and he’s the one who put you here, the other side argued back.
She resorted to staring blankly, hopefully at her buddy list, wishing that at any second he’d be on.

xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Hi?
DJ-Danger815: Kerr =]
DJ-Danger815: How are you?
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: I’m ok…how ‘bout you popstar?
DJ-Danger815: Pretty tired BUT we didn’t have a show tonight so
DJ-Danger815: Not as tired as I usually am.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: I guess that’s good…right?
DJ-Danger815: Haha yeah, it’s nice to have an off night ever so often.
DJ-Danger815: Sooo…what have you been doing all day?
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: The usual…school, writing music and lyrics.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: And randomly sketching.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: I kinda have this obsession with drawing roses.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Don’t even ask why…
DJ-Danger815: Why :P ?
Kerralyn chuckled quietly, she’d been expecting him to ask even though she had said not to.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Didn’t I just tell you not to ask :P
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: But seriously I don’t know
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: They’re pretty.
DJ-Danger815: So are you J
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: You don’t even know what I look like, Joe
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: And that was a corny pick up line too!
DJ-Danger815: Admit it though
DJ-Danger815: You liked hearing it.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Ok, ok, you got me there
DJ-Danger815: SCORE!
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: LOL
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Oh so I started and finished something in creative writing today.
DJ-Danger815: Am I allowed to read it?
DJ-Danger815: It’s ok if you don’t want me to
DJ-Danger815: I mean you’ve sent me some of them already
DJ-Danger815: And I know it’s probably personal
DJ-Danger815: So you don’t have to
DJ-Danger815: But I like reading them
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Joe…earth to Joe
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: You can read it.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: I like when you read them.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Cause almost no one actually does.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Invisible
A million people pass her by
Never seeing what is really there
It's like a wall is built around her
That no one else can see
She's the girl that no one sees
Just sitting there, invisible
So quiet, and so ignored
It seems like no one cares
Shut behind a glass wall
an outsider looking in
The glass won't shatter around her,
allowing her to break free
Nobody's home to see her smile
Nobody's there to catch the falling tears
No one cares when she cries herself to sleep
No one even knows she's there
Hidden by the glass wall
Unshatterable, even by her tears
Locked there, invisible to the world
No one knows she's there
DJ-Danger815: Wow…Kerr…just…
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Is it really that horrible?
DJ-Danger815: No…the writing is beautiful
DJ-Danger815: But…I wish that wasn’t you
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: How do you know it’s me?
Kerralyn stared up teary eyed at the screen, surprised but somewhat relieved that Joe had guessed it was her. She wished it wasn’t and part of her wanted to swallow the fact that it was and pretend it was just words that flowed together. Not a perfect description of her.
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Joe?
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: ??
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: I guess you aren’t there now
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Maybe fell asleep?
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: -wipes away the tears falling across her cheeks-
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: Joe? Please?
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: -slips the razor across her ankle-
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: I’m sorry Joe…so, so sorry
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx: -curls up and tries to stop the tears from falling anymore-
xxAngelicMusicalNotexx has signed off
Joe woke up from his catnap hours later to those nine lines, reading in disbelief before burying his face in his hands. He hadn’t been there after promising that he would be. He had fallen asleep talking to her. She’d been fine one moment and then…he couldn’t stand to think of what she had done, of what he couldn’t stop. He had promised her that he’d be there, always, that she could talk to him when she needed to.
And he wasn’t there.
